Kev, I don't want to be nosy but he didn't really charge $300 for that did he? In looking at his commission rates he charges $75 per figure with background, pencil only. Its a nice piece but rather steep.
I love his work, especially the John Carter/Dejah Thoris stuff. Anyone who can draw stuff from ERB's Martian books is okay by me.

Actually he charged me $100 for this and the adventure 347 another $100 yet I get allot of work from him, this is my 7th from him. the last one of Monel and Shadow Lass he charged $100 with background too. you can see all my comisions on his site under pecil commisions.
a few have trading cards click on them such as Fire Lad, Saturn Girl and Chameleon Boy.
