Doesn't seem a good way to rum a business does it?
Which page? I've never purchased comic art but p18 is hot and a perfect example of Lightle. Timing is everything. No money until the Fall semester. Hope it's still around. Good luck though whichever page you were trying to buy.

Lol It gets even better.
Dear Time Wasted aka Bryan McCoy, I did indeed reply to your original email, if it did not reach you that is a matter of bad luck in cyber space. You assumed the worst and send me a really rude email. Thank you for being so crass. You are now on my blocked email list. I don't accept rudeness from ANYONE, nor will I conduct business with them. Marianne Lightle On Mon, 19 Jul 2004 23:45:14 EDT Bkkid276176974@aol.com writes: I recently acquired to the splash page for SHadow Lass page 12. Thank you for NOT replying to let me know if it was sold or what. I waited over a week on that email. Thank you for wasting my time
Maybe My emotions was ran High Since I had to find out from a Friend that the page of art was sold. Out of my 27 years Collecting and being such a legion fan. And on top of that being a Steve Lightle fan. I really wanted that Art, But a counterpoint would have been to show the Email that was (lost)Sent prior. Now not only have I not lost the page of Art I wanted to buy. Now I lost someone whom I respected in the Comic Industry. I wanted my first page of art to be special and now its a travesty in itself.

I saw nothing rude in your e-mail. And blaming their lack of response on the internet... how eBay of them. Sorry for your disillusionment, Mon.

You saw nothing rude in that? My, I am coming from a different planet lately.
Mon/Bryan ol buddy, you're right. You blew it. I bet apologies would be accepted. Sooner or later, most of us act like little kids when we don't get someting we really want. If they refuse to understand that after appropriate apologies, then IMO the loss would be theirs. However, I doubt that they would lack understanding.
Again, good luck and in my opinion, you should try again. That p. 18 is sweet too. Maybe that one you can still obtain with their good graces.

Normally marianne and steve are very very personable, maybe the ever so slight harsh tone of your email got their backs up. They probably get hammered with emails all the time.
Still gotta say though...thats one uuuuuugly looking website. It almost makes my eyes bleed every time I visit

Yes, I have to agree that the letter sent to the Lightles was very rude. For future reference, here's how to write a polite version:
Dear Mr. Lightle:
I recently attempted to buy the original art for [insert issue number and page number here, and the date you ordered]. However, I have not yet received any notification that you received my order [or request, or bid, depending on what sort of transaction].
Is the item still available? If so, I would like to go ahead with the purchase. I eagerly await your reply.
That's the way it's done. It gives them some wiggle room if they truly screwed up or if technology betrayed them (for example, the e-mail might've gotten confused with spam or caught in your spam filter). 'Cause guess what? YOU DON'T KNOW WHICH IT WAS. Give them the benefit of the doubt.
-- Still here to help.
