Let's all catch up with each other! Me, I have 6 weeks left here in Huntsville on my job contract, and once that's up, it'll be back on Birmingham... and Lee! We have a company gym here and I've been using it twice daily. I'm a hunk. (Seriously, I'll post pics once I get around to it.) I'm trying out for Cabaret this Friday, and I hope I get the play!!! And I'm visiting the family for Easter, which should be... interesting, but hopefully very positive! So what's up with you???

Still working out like crazy and in pretty good shape, quickly becoming *great* shape! Key West in a month and a half baby! Been dating my g/f for 6 and 1/2 half years now--  . I have refused to discuss this with anyone I talk to 'in real life', but I know its time for some serious decisions in 2007...and I kind of feel excited about it! Still living with my brother and two friends Jenn and Meg, and its still as crazy as ever. Though I spend waaaay too much money at bars and casinos and things like that, I'm having too much fun to worry it about it right now. I'll probably be doing this for another six months before previously mentioned decision making leads to a change in location... My job rocks! Oh, I might join a Rugby league soon, which will be hella-kewl! Still get a lot of fun out of posting on LW and interacting with all of you  . Looking forward to hear what's up with everyone!

I attended a deposition yesterday. It went well considering the client never showed for the preparation meeting.
Meanwhile, I still can't work up the ambition to start looking for a real paying job.

I've moved to Washington D.C. for the quarter (and out of my hole of an apartment fina-frickin'-ly). I've just started my internship with the Office of Federal Governmental Affairs for the University of California and got a tour of Capitol Hill (where I'll be attending hearings once next week's recess is over!!). I'm meeting new people and it's awesome fun. I'm going to the National Zoo tomorrow to see PANDAS!! LIVE!! Woo~ And the cherry blossoms of AWESOME!  And I'm apparently very excitable atm.

Funny how we had a mini heatwave just as you arrived, Caliente. Welcome to DC.
On the city's must-see/must-do list
(1) Jefferson and FDR memorials with the cherry blossoms in bloom
(2) National Cathedral just before sundown
(3) New comics and a Five Guys burger in Georgetown on any Wednesday. (every Wednesday for me)
(4) A Nats game
(5) Venturing into at least one close-in suburb for dinner/drinking/debauchery (Old Town Alexandria, Bethesda or Clarendon)
(6) Bike Ride to Mt. Vernon
(7) Night in Adams Morgan hanging out with cool, artistic, anti-social malcontents.
(8) Night in Dupont Circle hanging out with lesbians.
(9) Scandalous encounter with a red-state Congressman.
(10) Lunch with Lad Boy -- guaranteed to be completely non-scandalous.

Also, update-- I went to the hill for my first day today. Since congress is in recess, I had to deliver letters and things instead of attending hearings. It was... long and hot. But, yay, Capitol Hill!! And I only got lost once. So good times all around.

I gave notice at my restaurant job!!!
I've needed to switch from working nights to days for ... well, quite a while now... and I finally got things started by giving notice. I'm positioning myself as a "customer service expert" with an emphasis on being very creative, and comfortable with high volume business. I'm cute, too!
Y'know, until I make my fortune as an artist (yarite!), I have to get my income other ways. So right now, it's the schedule that has to fit.
Can't wait to see what happens! I've applied at a handful of new jobs already. I'll update as I go along....

I have to say, one of the greatest decisions of my life was when I made the final break from working in restaraunts. I still miss the people, but my life is so much better now than it was.
