I tell you this...the answer to this riddle lies within the two other bodies of this morgue: that little boy there, and he, known as Exnihil!

<suddenly fades out of the room, battling back the evil spells>

hmmm...portal seems to stay open on its own...interesting.

And did you hear that? Ex and the boy--THE BOY!--are somehow involved in this! That means you're sticking with us, Ex.

Well, for the past few months I've been crashing here. My old place burned down, and well... any port in a storm.

But as Cobie said, it's weird, I've noticed that lately almost no new bodies have come here. Like folks stopped dying or something.

Until I woke tonight and saw Cobie with... that boy... where did he come from, Cobie?

Now that you mention it, the PA does seem emptier than usual.

There is hope for the boy, he is still warm...if we can find his spirit, I can reunite it with his body and hopefully he will live again...
on the downside he might become a Zombie...

<considers avoiding topic...but thinks better>

It's been a rough night. This boy...he was just a local street kid from what I gather. No parents, no family--just friends with other kids. He got caught in a fire tonight...damn 31st century and he gets caught in a fire! Unbelievable!

<obviously, Cobie has been mulling this over for awhile>

He was too far for anyone else to respond so I rushed over...but it was too late. He was too fully burned. Just a little kid, burned to death. It was horrible. I thought I could heal him with my powers--but it didn't work!

The Security Office is trying to find out about him but we have so little. He must have somehow gotten into that old shut-down library and there were too many things that could easily catch on fire.

But why was he at that library in the first place?

And how could he have been so careless to start the fire?

Its all happened so quick, I haven't had time to consider all the options.

No family, eh? And a shattered spirit which just happens to wail, "Mother."

<gazes into the portal>

Boys, I think we've got a mystery on our hands.

Yeah and unfortunately the weirder it gets the more it makes sense.

Man Alive!! This place is weird, but its similar to the poltergiest area, my powers should be enhanced here.

Wait, all the weird blurriness seems to be oozing away--as if its sentient.

This room...kind of looks like the mirror version of the Morgue! But with weird colors and...smells?

ahh...don't tell me this is some kind of spiritual mirror universe....
we could meet our doubles here, keep an eye out!

That smell... it's like the reverse of formaldehyde... if that makes any sense. Almost as if preserving is not the function here... but restoring?

Now *that* could be weird...and kind of kewl.

<looks around but suddenly feels tremendous back pain!>

What is this...keep getting hurt all night...something off...

<starts to get blurry eyed>

<passes out, falling into Dedman>

you think it might be restoring Ex? Well I'm going to try an channel some of the energy in Cobie, see if it heals him...
