Happy B-Day Caroline!

Hi Everyone, Thank you for the Birthday wishes, and Happy new Year!

Well, I turned 50 today, and here I am facing divorce and trying to pull myself together emotionally and financially to start life on my own.

Scott is still in the house, but he prefers to spend only the work week here and weekends and holidays over at his mistress' home. In fact, just after it turned midnight here, he had to rush over there to kiss her. But at least he kept his promise to spend my birthday with me!

Scott thinks this woman is going to be a keeper, and I think she is ready to marry him already, so sometime in the near future we will have to file or else Scott really will be a polygamist like a lot of Utah men.

I know it's crazy and way too early, but I have joined several dating sites and I am starting to accept dates. I will take it slow, I promise, but I just can't stand to be left behind and all alone. I'm not cut out to be alone, and I need to nurture a man. Plus, I need to get laid, it's been far too freaking long! LOL!!

To get through Christmas Eve alone, I drank tequila until I fell asleep at 9pm. Today went better then that, but I still enjoyed some tequila, and so I did not cry today! See, I have cried pretty much every day at least once since November 3rd when I discovered Scott's infidelity of the past three years. (He is the LegionWorld equivilant of Tiger Woods!)

I don't get over here very often anymore, sorry. I hang out on Twitter and dating sites, LOL. Oh, I finally got a job. I'm working the cosmetics counter at a Walgreen's for a pittance of $7.50 an hour. But at least it's a job finally.

I have a date tomorrow night, wait, make that tonight, Friday night. This guy is a pagan and a lawyer, and we've talked on the phone. He is separated too, and in his case, his wife was the cheater. So tomorrow I'm slapping on a new coat of hair dye and painting a smile on my face and giving it a go. Get this, Scott has to drive me to my dates because he hasn't gotten me a car yet. Funny no? But at least the guys can tell my husband doesn't give a darn that I'm dating. Can't say I'm sneaking around!

I have to believe there's a movie in this, starring Jack Black as the doofus (sigh) and Amy Adams as Saturn Girl. Driven to dates by the cheating soon to be ex (sigh, ? Not to make light, but well, sounds like you got survival skills.

Thanks everyone!! My date was awesome!!!!! His name is Bill and he is a lawyer and he wants to see me again. I'm very happy to have found someone I can relax and have fun with who has a brilliant mind and understands that I am wounded and don't want to be pawed, at least not in the first several dates, LOL! I wish I could post the picture he sent me the next morning from his snowshoeing adventure into the Oquirrh Mountains. (Those are west of Salt Lake City.)

And tonight, Sunday, while I was at work I got a long, long, long letter from Bill. I feel like a teenager in deep 'like.'

Nancy, I promise to take it slow. I keep telling myself, I dated Scott for three weeks (3 dates) and we got engaged, and then three more dates and we ran off and eloped. And it only lasted almost 18 years. (LOL) I am not even legally free to date, except Scott is 'engaged' so what the hell am I waiting for?, but I will not rush into anything this time.
