Go back in time to the 20th Century, but send robot doubles of themselves to take their places at an urgent meeting. The said Robot doubles get caught in the timestream & lose their memory & fail to not only tell the Legion who they really are but fail to recharge a Legionnaires powers.
Go on a very long mission to rescue a doomed planet & go absolutely power hungry & turn on his/her fellow Legionnaires & eject them into space in a capsule. Space fatigue is the diagnosis.
Robots that have different colors that are programmed to do specific tasks.
