Got home from SD late last night. The con went way too fast. It was great to see Kabir & Gary again. It would of been nice if more of us had been there but I still had a ton of fun.

I just got approved for "creative professional" status for SDCC 2017. I don't even know what that means! But I'm so excited I feel like I'm in a 1980s music video. With big hair!
Has everyone that been before enjoyed the convention? I have heard from the organizer of another popular convention that San Diego Comic-con is "too crowded". I have thought about attending but unsure if I would like it.
I liked Wizard Con in Chicago, but it would have been better with friends. I wouldn't mind organizing a Mid-West LW Meet-Up somewhere if anyone is interested.

I haven't been to Wizard Con. I've gone to NYCC a few times - I generally buy an extra ticket to bring a friend (who is usually a casual comic reader) because I find the cons to be more fun with a friend
I've only been to SDCC once and I was blown away. This was 2007 or 8 and it was just a ton of fun, parties and cruising. I loved that the SD restaurants and bars embraced the SDCC attendees so vigorously. Since then, I haven't been back but I'm looking forward to going this year!
My favorite con has been Flame Con - the LGBTQ comic con that happens in Brooklyn. It's small, you get to chat with folks and find new comics that you might not find otherwise.
