And forget about Morrison & Quietly - there's been enough bitchin' already!
I pick Dick Francis (the horse racing mystery author) as writer and Pablo Picasso (Guernica period) as artist.
All the adventures would be set at a race track, everyone would have two eyes on one side of their head. It might bring back the super-pets, though - Comet, anyways - so maybe I'll have to reconsider.

LOL. And I was going to say Liefeld as writer AND artist!
White. A blank page or canvas. His favorite. So... many... possibilities.

Hey Scott - if we could just get the haemmoroids to attempt a solo project, maybe it'd work out OK...

I actually don't mind Byrne as an artist. he's not as exciting as he was back in the day, but I still find his style totally acceptable.

Godzilla for Legion writer. In between his destroying Tokyo.
Abstract artist Jackson Pollock for Legion artist. ( Look him up on Google - His average canvas was a wild frenzy of paint dripped on at random, with no coherent shapes. )
For Editor? Norman Bates. From The movie PYSCHO......

Beardguy, Jackson Pollock's art has been around for over 50 years. You sound like you've just accidently found out about Pollock in a Google search. I studied him in art history thirty years ago and have enjoyed his work ever since. His paintings were not random drippings or devoid of shapes. This is a common misunderstanding. He was a true master, one of the most courageous and imaginative artists of the last century.

Historically, I think the issues written by Gerry Conway, drawn by Steve Ditko, and edited by Jack C. Harris are the worst of the Legion's long distinguished run.
Of recent books, I was less than enamoured of Mike McAvennie as editor, especially around the time of "Dark Circle Rising" when he was working with a committee of writers. Oliver Coipel got better as time went on, but not enough for me to ever want him back for any extended period.
For those who have never worked on the book? Chuck Austin is the superstar du jour, having recently been hired to come over from Marvel to do Superman. I absolutly detested his Call to Duty series, and not just becasue I am a Volunteer Firefighter. It was just awful on so many levels. And none of his other recent work is much better. Austin is certainly no incentive for me to pick up Supes again.
Rob Liefeld - 'nuff said I think
Geoff Johns & Peter David, both fine writers, but both have a tendency, which DnA have dispplayed on the current storyline, to take entirely to long for their plots to go anywhere.

Reep -
I studied art in college 25 years ago. I just don't care for Pollock. It's just a matter of preference.
