I got a job.
Working at a shop that only does electrical components for machines. Kind of the same thing I used to do, but I will not have to deal with the mess of the grimy machines.
I'll be going over electrical prints and testing the panels before they ship to the customer.
This place has some really nice procedures in place from what they showed me today, so there is accountability for everything...something sorely missing at the last place I was at.
Start tomorrow morning. Will be working 58 hours a week or more to start with. So, my time here will be limited...but I'll make it count.

I'm really thrilled for you, Dev. It's great to hear that thus far they've impressed you and it's a notable improvement from the last place you were working.
I know time will be limited but look forward to you posting when you can! Definitely a place to unwind after a long day (and long week). And can't wait to see your comic book reviews once you get caught up with the backlog of comics I know you're dying to read!

It'll definitely help. I am starting a little lower than I was hoping for, but am getting a review in 60 days. Still way more than I am getting on Unemployment right now.

One day down. Went really well. Got two sets of prints done. Plus a few other things (paperwork, tools brought in and organized.
12 hours and 45 minutes in the bank.
My eyes are tired.

...now I find out that the job I interviewed for at the College (as a temp) is now an external posting, and the guy who interviewed me and makes the decisions wants me to apply. It's part time, but the pay is much better. No contest without the OT at the current job.
Plus I could bid on permanent positions at the college after 6 months.
Going to apply (nothing to loose), and the process will take a few months anyway...which means I should have a raise at my new job, making the decision a little more difficult.
I like this having possibilities now.

It's been a long (11 year) dry spell) time coming.
I've worked 37 hours in three days, and will have 55 hours by the end of 5. I'm pretty tired, but the job is going well so far, and I like it and the people are still pretty cool.
