According to the constitution, as deputy leader, your sole function is to attend Super-funerals of Space. The free food is nothing to sneeze at, however. Especially since Shanghalla expanded and put in those luxury units for visiting dignitaries. Tyrants and wannabees the multiverse over have indeed killed for less.

P.S. -- Quis, thanks for the, er, campaign loan. Those custom tailors on Imsk have a real way with the luxury microweaves. That and my new haircut should make me an even hotter ticket than whatserface from that town in Alaska. In fact, mr_cleome and I finished with nearly 25K left to spare. So we donated it to Sarcasm Kid's Fund For Limbless Orphans. All the pertinent info has been filed with the fine people at Open Secrets dot org-- should anyone attempt to make political hay of y/our actions...

I look forward to the possibility of meeting Mr. cleome at diplomatic functions. Rumor has it that he's an accomplished trencherman. In this day and age one must admire dedication and skill at a chosen activity.
..and about those suits..might I suggest that the two of you come as my guests and enjoy shopping for some exceptional new outfits at The Supervillian Outfits and Excessories Emporium? Newly expanded with a simply adorable spring fashion line including some extremely functional yet stylish articles for the meta human on the move.
I'm too sexy for my shirt.

k,thx Kent.
Anyone you would like to nominate? Or nominate to re-elect? Might as well offer that option too. I can't remember an occasion where one of our leaders served two successive terms but I don't believe there are any restrictions on it.
Just asking.

Thank goodness my term is almost over.
I thought it was all going to be cute little outfits and charity balls. But its been trouble and all those charity balls have made me gain 5 pounds. Worse yet there was actual work n' stuff.
Like now I s'pose the heroes should go investigate and I get to do more paperwork.

I like think Tomahawk speaks Gibberish... Or maybe Calamity Monkey... or somebody like that....[/b]Fellas... This is a nice thought, but STU has already been Leader three times... twice before the LW era, and once during. Some folks'd argue that's at least two times too many. 'Sides, he ain't been around lately, so I don't think he'd be able to formally accept a nomination.

I'd consider nominating someone myself, but I don't rightly know who all's been Leader (and Deputy) lately... I ain't been active much these last coupl'a years.
Can someone post a list of all the Leaders and Deputies since LW started?

All things considered there's a chance that peeps could see that as a positive. You might consider changing the "maverick" tag though, it didn't work out so well for that other guy. You betcha!

I'm still running, by the way. These false accusations won't stop me from serving the will of the people. I hope Cleome is still interested in being my running mate.

Anyone else?
This is no time to be shy. When the core Legion is absent from the DCU at large, when they have no title of their own and must depend on guest appearances to keep their legend alive during these times it is up to the lesser known Legions to pick up the slack, to maintain vigilance, to defeat the monsters from the outer reaches and to infiltrate the conspiracies that rot from within. It is up to us, we who are not the mainstream players to ensure the safety and security of our citizens while we await the return of the truly powerful and popular stars we all love.
In these uncertain time is it of the utmost importance for ALL Legionnaires to stand firm against galactic threats as well as the minor criminals. A strong and creative force for good is essential to the 31st Century and we as the guardians of our homes as the heroes of our century must be led by someone with vision, with reliable steadfastness, with the power to beat back the chaos that always seeks to overwhelm that which is good and right.
I implore you Legionworlders to look within yourselves and ask if you can be that leader. If you can answer YES to that then we need you. The United Planets needs you. The Legion needs you.

Now here's a question no one seems to be asking (other than Ex in the topic title): Where is the Election Tyrant? Isn't the Tyrant (or whomever inherits the mantle) supposed to be running the show during the elections? Could the Tyrant have been attacked also?

The Tyrant counts the votes. It's a complex and thankless job for which the Founders pay quite handsomely.

Just where is Dr. Mayavale? He showed up just as all this started... Usually he runs in the election - but quite possibly he has attacked the Election Tyrant for having betrayed him in this life.
