Thanks everyone. About that School reading list, Doctor one, well, it's not easy for me to remember overly much about what books we got to pick and read from the lists as it was many years ago since i went to High school.

Welcome, Snakeguru Lass and Positive Man. Snakeguru Lass, please allow me to thank you on behalf of your country for IKEA. I couldn't have furnished my home without it! Both of you, please make yourselves at home.

Sorry about the time that has passed between your question and my answer, Dain, but my workload has been relentless. To my knowledge the Legion has been (very badly printed and translated) published in brazilian editions until the end of the 5 year gap. It was never published in european Portuguese. And a quaint factoid for you: my first issue was read in Africa (Dad was a military man), in Mozambique, to be precise. I started collecting it in English with the Bouncing Boy-Duo Damsel marriage issue (thanks for paying for it while I couldnĀ“t, Mom and Dad ).

And I forgot to include my thanks to all the kind folks that added their personal welcomes to grumpy old me.

Again: my apologies for the delayed answer, Semi. Work has been a dog's girlfriend. I breed three local dog races (two recognized by the FCI and one about to), that are mainly shepherds (all of them were used as wolf fighting mastiffs) and guard dogs even if they can also used for search and rescue or leading the blind (I hate "political correctness"). Here's some links with photos (Am I even allowed to do this? Let me assure the board administration upfront that these sites aren't mine, neither belong to anybody I know or do business with) for you to know the roll call of my "Interplanetary Bunk Beast Guard" : http://www.rt-serradaestrela.pt/regiao/caodaserra.htm http://www.rafeiroalentejo.info/index.cfm?l=1 http://www.caodegadotransmontano.org.pt/ The latter is about to be recognized by the FCI. Believe me, none of these are to be trifled with...

Name: Jack Age: 42 Location: Okie-homa Legion Fan since 1979 and have read all the way back to the beginning. I can't wait to see how Jim Shooter handles the Legion this time around. I have been away from the Legion for a while and I hope I can get back into it with him coming back. I was never a big fan of the reboots and rewrites.

Welcome to Legion World TripleJ! You aren't our first Okie member, but I am sure you'll represent that state very well. I see you found the trivia threads. I won't force you to write a limerick on the limerick thread. (But I won't stop you from writing one either. ) Again welcome!

Name:David Age:40 Very first comics-When I was 8 I went to the hospital to have my tonsils out. My Parents brought me ice-cream, World's Finest #226, and Superboy starring the Legion # 208, both 100 pages for 60 cents each! 20 years and 4,000 comics later, my parents were going "D'oh!" LLL!
Long Live all them Legions!

Finally decloaking after some very enjoyable time watching on the sidelines
About me:
38 years old M.A. in Lit. Studies of North America Politics working in cultural communications based in Germany likes Basketball
Legion fan since my childhood days (spotty memories of what must have been SLOSH # 228),
got lost in the 80s
came back with "The Legion #1", been backtracking (more or less successfully) since then.
Favorite characters (across all versions): Invisible Boy (both Lyle and Jaques) Colossal Boy (somehow always ends up a bit goofy, but golden heartesd in every incarnation) Phantom Girl (can't take the girl next door away from her)
Other comic books/characters I like: James Robinson's Starman, Chronos (Walker Gabriel), most Stuff by Grant Morrison, currently Fables (add to that European stalwarts like Spirou, TinTin, but also the likes of Luc Orient & Bob Morane, Blueberry and John Difool and you get the picture).
Currently faced with the typical dilemma of most mid-thirties: enough money to pay for the whimsical hobbies, but not the appropriate attic for convenient storage...
Be seeing you - Jens

Been lurking for a little bit, but I figure I should introduce myself:
Name: Abby Age: 27
Gina DC got me into the Legion by dangling the reboot Legion at me and getting me interested in, of all characters, Magno. She did not warn me how thankless being a fan of Magno would actually be, unfortunately, but managed to make a LSH fan of me anyhow.
Other favorite characters: Cosmic Boy, XS, Invisible Kid, Night Girl. The reboot Legion was my first and remains my favorite, but I dabble a bit in other boots as well.
Other trivia: if you've read a profile of Magno anywhere online, chances are I wrote it.

Got into the Legion in the mid-90s, stopped with the end of Abnett & Lanning's run. Took a look at a Waid/Kitson issue (forget the number, sometime in the #10s), and REALLY didn't like it. Not sure about this "Legion of 3 Worlds" thing.
