Well, we probably won't see much. We represent a small group of fans. And if TPTB want fan elected Legion Leaders, they'll probably ask for a letter based campaign.
I'll mention it. So, we'll see.

Probably won't make a difference but, who knows, TPTB might get a kick out of it and mention it in the next letter col.
At least it communicates we (the collective we) are not overwhelmingly in favor of the current leadership, and want to see other characters have bigger roles.
P.S. Sunny came in second. Four girls tied for third! Go, girls!

Maybe it would help in encouraging TPTB to bring back reader-elected leaders!

A well-publicized reader leader-election could actually be a very successful marketing tool.

I agree. DC should think about having the elections again. The length of term should never be revealed...but I think DC should do it every 3 years. ![smile smile](/forums/images/graemlins/default_dark/smile.gif) In Legion time is that 1 month or 3 years? No one knows.

Hey I am a long time Lightning Lad fan and glad he 'won' our little survey and loved the old team leader vote from back in the day but it does kind of open up the title to kidnapping. Like stuffing the ballot box w/ votes for Atom Girl. I will give Waid and Kitson some time because I am sure they have some stories they want to tell, and how they want to tell them. Brainy and Cos aren't my favorite characters but as long as all the characters get a chance to shine on the title, I trust Waid and Kitson. That being said I'd love to see Garth get a shot at Legion Leader some day.

I love the idea of reader elections. It forces the creative team to deal with the choice head on (granted sometimes with mixed results). Dream Girl not getting to do much these days? Make her Leader and force Levitz to write about her. Of cource, then we open ourselves up to things like the Wildfire and Polar Boy terms, but I think if the cretive team's up to it, interesting and memorable stories can happen.

I agree it challenges the writers...and things don't work out exactly as planned.
