Yep, it is. Was not expecting it, so it made it that much better.
It is odd how much it's like an Omnicom.

I got a Fire recently as well. It actually strikes me as a pretty big deal that it actually comes with Comixology as one of only about a dozen or so apps pre-loaded on it. I would guess there's quite a few people who otherwise wouldn't buy a comic who at least check them out because of that.
Though other than reading comics and a couple of videos I've watched, I still seem to be using my Kindle 3 much more regularly. I find the interface on it much more natural. I think the Fire is the first kewl new electronic device I've ever actually bought when it came out, however!

I've checked out some of Comixology's free books, and the quality is very hard to ignore. Still not ready to give up on floppies. If I could get the Marvel Library thing to work on it, I may be tempted...but it says is is not supported yet.
I've grabbed a ton of public domain books that IU have always wanted to read, so I like it for that.
Also like being able to surf the web quickly. Also signed up for Netflix, and that works great with it too..plus the kids are loving the old cartoons through the X-Box.

Want one! But they can't be used for library books in Canada (at least not yet)

I have to look into the library book thing, as I can definitely see using that feature.

Comixology (and the related Marvel and DC apps) has been the top grossing app on iTunes most Wednesdays for several months.
Not a fan of the tight bundling of Amazon subscription services with the fire (but since amazon likely takes a loss on the sale of the tablet to sell that stuff its inevitabe). No Prime in Canada probably means no Fire in Canada for a while.
