Just rereading my Titans collection (well, "just" might be the wrong word - I guess it took me two yeras to get this far) I have arrived in the "dark ages" when Wolfman had lost editorial control and DC, by trying to make the Titans more "X-Men", totally ruined the book.
There has been a discussion about "Titans Hunt" some months before on this board. Well, I thought that storyline was not that bad, putting many of the supporting cast into the spotlight.
But now I read Total Chaos... and it's way worse than I remembered. Not only the terrible approach to Time Travel was a nuisance, but the whole story was just a disaster! Donna Troy as the giant woman, the perennial fight versus Councilwoman Alderman, Team Titans everywhere, BATALLION (!!!), Aqualad suddenly returning and then not being seen for the rest of the story, Terry Long at his worst and the Titans in the middle adding to the Chaos the story was. Wow! So bad! Even the great artwork from Grummet and (I didn't remember that one as well) Maguire could not save this story.
I hate almost everything which happened to the Titans next. Raven returning, Starfires wedding ruined, art by Jaaska (ugh) - but now, I have found the definite moment when the Titans went all bad - it was Total Chaos.....
