I dunno. She kinda irked me.
She came along during a brief upswing after a long slide downhill for TITANS. A slide that continued sortly thereafter.
Her smartass attitude got on my nerves, 'cause, like, well, who the hell is she anyway? She isn't a freakin' Titan. Bah!
ALTHOUGH I *do* like her line to Duela in the JLA/Titans mini, about not remembering anyone dressed THAT much ike a clown at any of her Titans meetings. Heh.

Absent minded Cobie! I just noticed that I missed a whole thread already dedicated to making fun of Pantha!
I guess we'll have to dedicate this thread to in-depth discussions of why Red Star and Pantha's relationship amounted to nothing more than blatant beastiliaty in a comic book about pseudo-teens!

That was just a convienient way to get rid of Pantha, Red Star and Baby Wildebeest.
'Course, Wolfman COULD have just OFFED 'em like he did Tula, Dove, and Golden Eagle... or just retconned them into some black hole in limbo like Gnarrk and Duela... Oh, don't get me started.

I've read a few issues with Pantha and if I'm remembering her correctly, you do not want to mess around with her. Think Catspaw, but more dangerous. Catspaw and Pantha have the same origin, don't they?

Let me get this straight: Pantha is/was a mutant or a biological genetic experiment? A cat-humanoid hybrid? Her mask reminds me of what Vixen's was supposed to look like before her title was bombed by the DC Explosion of 1978 - even before it had a chance to see print!

Vixen appeared in her yellow/blue original costume in ACTION COMICS ##521 & DC COMICS PRESENTS #68 before she recieved her own never-published series.
And now that you mention, Pantha does seem like a vixen rip-off. Maybe that's what I didn't like about her.

I dunno. Pantha wasn't all that bad. At least she didn't have a child to look out after, er, she didn't have a kill-em-all attitude, um, she didn't have a self-pity shtick, that is, she didn't look like a Tigra on steroids, I mean, she didn't...
