Hey, I don't know if this thread is in the right place (Bits of Legionnaire Business perhaps?), but I thought some of you might like to know about an original Dawnstar drawing by Mike Grell for sale on Ebay. The link is:

I recently got a Grell drawing of Superboy, Cos, Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad and Vi. It is very delicious in person, so I imagine this one is as well.

Nice Dawny though. Too pricey for me.

Exquisitely shaped drawing with oil-painted colors added, rather than the watercolors Grell usually uses for these pieces. And this is entirely a Grell original, by the way, not a signed print.

It's listed at US$230 for "Buy It Now," which is above the reserve price, though we don't know by how much. It's buyable at that price until the reserve amount is reached.

That's what's maddening about reserves, as all bids are for now being placed blind, entirely without effect -- until some generally unknown stopping point. For now, they're at $61, still not enough.

eBay sellers should just set a higher minimum starting point for bids, rather than perpetuate this pointless guessing game. (Many sellers will tell a potential bidder the reserve price, if asked, but not all.)

Not that it makes much difference for me, either, as a likely reserve of at least $200 is still more than I can take, so some other lucky bastard will get this one *sigh* ... still, at least we have this sizable JPEG.
