Oh no! I would love Shikari to join the Titans - but then again I love Bumblebee too! Two flappy females in one group is more than enough.

I think Shikari would be really out of place in the Waid team - she's not 60s enough is she?

And we don't even know for sure that she's in the new Legion universe frown

It's all so confusing! confused

If Shikari does end up in the 21st c. (which would space-rawk!), she'd end up at S.T.A.R. Labs. What's to stop Dr. Karen Beecher from passing the Bumblebee legacy on to little miss bug-lady-with-no-codename?

Maybe Fair Titan, since WG is pretty and blonde like Imra (who was called Fair Legion).

Or badly translated multilingual instructions!

Back on topic Shikari would be an nice addition to the Teen Titans. She's probably form a bond with Kory & Cassie.

I really like Shikari as Bumblebee II but maybe it's too fannish.

I miss Dawnstar as well..

Is Shikari gonna be used at all with the reboot?
I kind of thought she was being stuck away into her own limbo.

maybe she will go back, get these new Legionnaries and take them back to the proper timeline?

I'm not sure what you mean by that but it's obvious that Shikari is in an alternate timeline with it's own similiar past, while her timeline still exist.

It seems that like Marvel, time traveling is both an up/down and sideways process.

Just a thought - but by Waid's own rules of Hypertime, you can't stay in a different universe/hypertimeline for long without imploding it, can you?

I think the Worlds at War storyline removed that rule and I for one am glad.

Waid's a good writer, but he's very limited when it comes to time traveling stories.

WnK put Shikari where she was for a reason, and on the "see a phone on stage in the first act" principle, something about the reason will ring out eventually.

Probably to straighten out these other Legion and convince them how real heroes act just like the other Legion from her home, and to rescue the her friends from hypertime.

I think DC thinks Waid went overboard with everything, like the interviews and possible negative reaction, and made them do changes with the Special before it was too late. Shikari will probably appear in issue 7 or close and this will probably end up as a 12-22 issue series.

Is Shikari gonna be used at all with the reboot?

I think she's the reason that v4 will come back real soon. V5 seems to be crumbling before it started because of Waid's carelessness, but she'll also probably be the one to make the v5 Legion real heroes.

To me this new seris seems like a limited series in disguise, because on how the main story in the Special ended, and Waid is probably in denial and thinks he'll do something to make it unlimited.

He should have been careful on what he said on the interviews so to make the chances of that at least good, but DC seems to have lost faith when Birthright lost alot of sales when it was annonced as the new origin. The excitment that Waid mention they had when he brought the idea to them was probably before the sale drop and all the constant changes he was making.

I saw that and wondered, maybe she got dumped in the DnAverse. Waid returned her to their playground. Tho', why would she not recognize it?

I definately see something done with Shikari. I have a pretty spotted past with the Legion and she's one of the few characters that I'm pretty sure I know everything about.

ALERT ALERT...compare the cityscape in the Shikari panel to the cityscape outside Lyle's window when he's on the ledge.
there are amazing similarities.
-4 flags on poles.
-and short building with a big arch and in front of that building some bushes.
check it out! it's the same in BOTH cities in both panels.
Shikari is in the re-launched universe. but when will she show up?

Just my 2 pennies….

I agree with those who say that Shikari is in the post-post-boot universe as a plot device, either to put the tombstone on the v4 grave or to resurrect them. I would guess that the first year of v5 has been designed as a possible limited series based on sales.

(Hope she comes back though since she gave me my name! smile )

I'd agree with Gorilla Nebula that Shikari is in the same city as Lyle. After (finally) getting my copy of the book last night, the similarities between the archictecture in the panels are too many to be a coincidence.

How she may fit in with the current team, however - no particular idea. I would expect a meeting, with her remembering the past/other dimension.

Maybe she's the new RJ BRande and there was a time jump of several years between when she appeared and when we see Lyle.

The Legion comic that was ripped was from the previous reboot. Yes, a nod to the previous incarnation of the Legion, but maybe Shikari's been spreading tales of her old friends? Did Lyle receive an invite to join the team because Shikari's bringing her friends all back together (though that wouldn't explain Sun Boy)? Is she to this Legion what the Legion was the Superboy? (that is, someone who knows what these kids can accomplish, what they can become)

I actually doubt that's the way things will shake out, but y'never know...

That would be a wonderful scenario. Kari goes from being the newest, least experienced Legionnaire to being the oldest - and the organizing force behind the new group. You could explain Sun Boy easily - she wouldn't necessarily do all the recruiting, or even find the counterparts to all her "old friends".

I wonder if the first person she would have sought out was Brainiac, in order to explain what happened to her.
