You haven't been around for a while! Thanks for thinking of me, and I checked it out. About a dozen pages were on sale at once from "LSH" v3 n49, with Dawny on pages 21 and 23.
I lusted after page 21 (three Dawny appearances) and had placed a maximum bid with shipping of $70, but with five seconds left, somebody's automated sniping program got it for a dollar over my bid. Page 23 went from $49 to $134 in the same five seconds, to the same bidder.
So obviously that person was prepared to spend $150 or more on each page, to make the sniping program work. Broderick did splendid art, but it's just not worth that much. I wonder at some of this bidding frenzy.
The seller's ID is "hookedoncomicsinc", if you do any searches for more Broderick art. They say they'll have over 200 of his original art pages up for auction.
Unlike many that are sold this way, they're not autographed, which makes me wonder anew about these prices. (I already have original art with Dawny from Sherman, Lightle, and Janes, all autographed.)
Oh well. That's $70 more to spend on the trip down to San Diego ComicCon, assuming it works out.
