Thanks for the info LL. Clearly, Hilari Swan-K is emerging as "one to watch" in the annals of the Legion of Obscure Characters Who Become Big LW Stars.

Nazdravye.
I am so way behind.
Is there an official roster of the LoOCWBBLWS? Is there a fan club? Have I already signed up?

Here's a short series of Forte possibilities that we never saw - this is Elina and - this is Lauen Brie Both photos are by Nigel Barker.

I feel the Lamprey images are a bit of a stretch, but the Try Again Lass image is perfect! I don't think she needs to be a Carggite, thosc can be reflections.
Just my unsolicited opinions!
Hey Candle, did you ever see my post in the Critics Corner thread?

I LOVE opinions! And, yes, thank-you. I've loved discovering all of these wonderful threads. My only unhappiness is finding so many blanks. I hate missing anything visual that I can enjoy (and hoard) of the Legion.

Hey, what do you guys think of these Fabulous Fortes done by current artists?
Markita by Eddy Barrows. "Lovey Dovey" Chameleon Boy by Amanda Conner. Leta Lal by Mike Grell. "Dr. Landro's Hot Nurse and Dr. Hanscom's Urgent Nurse" by Dan Leister. "Rain Girl" and "Try Again Lass" by Steve Lightle. Kissandra by Joe Prado. "Actress from Terrible Cyclopean Creature Film" by Tim Seeley.
(Note: Rain Girl was the name someone gave for the Red-Haired Applicant)

I'd love to see ANY Sun Woman, actually! I'm bumping this because I've edited the Lamprey entry. I really like them with bigger pictures and I LOVE the first one much better then the original. The second one has the same picture, ust waaaaay bigger!

Thanks for posting that Sun Woman sketch, way back when! I guess this thread got away from me.
Hmm... yeah... I guess I never re-read the Vorn story. I'll have to do that when I can.
It was a nice surprise to come here and find this thread bumped!

I reread the first two archives a few months ago, and this time going into it with a truer appreciation for Forte's art.
We definitely don't see enough Sun Woman! She's really only in a handful of panels. Her look, her story, her familiar moniker...she's destined to be a star! The Legion must return to Vannar!
The two gossips remind me of people you still see in Fairfield County, CT. The upper crust, who simply love when things get interesting.
And of course, my true love Dr. Landro's Hot Nurse, who would make Alfred Hitchcock have a conniption fit with her beautiful, icey ways. One can only hope she was the Interstellar Intelligence Corp's girl on the inside.

You know what? We should do like a board wide rereading of the Legion. Since the current series has been a dissapointment for...well, about as long as I can remember anymore...maybe that could be a groovy way to create a board wide event!
People could paritipate in the issues they own!

Lash suggested a "Legion Book Club" awhile back.
I've really been enjoying my re-read of the 5YL era on Comixology, which completely blows the current run out of the water.
