Sadie Maschiste screamed as the blades cut into her flesh. The pain was excruciating! But she embraced its intensity knew that the results would give her everything she wanted.
She would become the Bride of Tharok.
Finding a doctor to perform the "surgery" had been the easy part. She simply beheaded his lovely wife and told him she would do the same to his children if he didn't do what she asked.
Of course, the physician did so.
Sadie thought back to how it all had started. The Fatal Five had come to her home planet of Vorheesia. The one with the Axe had gathered several young women, including Sadie and her best friend Carna. They had been preparing for the coming of age journey into the ever morphing woods that covered most of her homeworld.
"Don't be afraid, Sadie." Unfortunately for Carna, the man with the Axe heard her. Without a word, his blade sliced through the middle of her torso, distintigrating her. Sadie dared not scream. She stared into the empty eyes of his helmet as he raised his axe once more...
"Persuader, stop!" The strange voice was commanding and deep, with almost a robotic tinge to it. When Sadie heard him/it, her world stopped. She could hear her own breathe, her heartbeat... her desire.
"I want that one!"
"As you wish, Tharok!"
She looked at her saviour. She had never seen anything so amazing in all her life. One half of his body was gone, replaced by a beautiful mettalic ahell. Her eyes locked onto his for one amazing moment.
In her mind, she could see herself at his side. She would care for him, as any good wife would. She would destroy world's in his name, if he would just ask.
But before any of that could happen, the damned Legionnaire's arrived. Tharok's attention turned to them and he pushed her to the ground, seemingly without another thought.
The battle between the Legionnaires and the Fatal Five lasted for hours. But the brightly clad interlopers finally won the day, taking her beloved Tharok from her.
So began her quest to not only become the Bride of Tharok, but to destroy each and every Legionnaire, one by one. She screamed then and she screams now.
Her transformation was complete. She was now an almost exact replica of her beloved. The pain would never fade, the surgeon had warned.
Once she was well enought to travel, she killed the physician's children in front of him before mercifully putting him out of his misery.
She was now ready to put her plan in motion. In order to get the attention of Tharok, she had to do something big. She had come up with the perfect plan.
Sadie was going to destroy the headquarters of the Legion of Super-Heroes, taking with her as many Legionnaires as possible.
