Here's the preliminary sketch. I've already gotten a few responses at a comic book creators' forum, so there will be a couple changes, but overall, I'm pretty happy with this depiction so far....

Very nice Dean.
I usually don't make comments as I have no artistic talent myself, but I think the lips are too pouty.

The shrewd look in her eyes is tremendous! She looks determined and ready for anything.
I like her pouty lips as it adds to the look of concentration IMO.
This is one of your best sketches Dean!

She looks more exotic with those big eyes - I like the lashes. She still has the iron butt look to me (or determined, as H. put it) but she's a lot sexier than she's drawn in the comic. Lovely!

She certainly looks like someone I wouldn't want to mess with. Great work, dean.

This is stunning Dean! Those eyes are hypnotic. This is a very different look for Imra, but in my opinion, it's wonderful. Please share with us the work as it progresses

Such a perspective has considerable power to it. You used this memorably for a rendering of (preboot) Nura recently, I believe.
The eyes are superb and, indeed, hypnotic, as they should be for Imra, and the lips are well-formed, though they could stand being a touch smaller.
You'd do well to fully ink this one. Perhaps not coloring it, though, or only doing so in muted shades -- it might take away an element of the drama otherwise. (Not an issue with your Nura, she being clad in white.)

Thanks for all the responses! I did do a picture of Nura just like this, too. I agree that to make this more Imra-like, the lips could be smaller. I do plan on inking it, and will surely color it also, so those steps will happen later.

Looks great Dean! The eyes are hypnotic. Did you use a model? She looks like someone I've seen before but just can't put my finger on it.
