As an experiment in visualization, imagine...
...Karate Kid, Timber Wolf and Shadow Lass battling the Persuader in the pouring rain.
Beauty's where you find it. Not just where you bump and grind it.

[considers] I don't think that any of my imaginary panels are suitable for a family message board.

Oh come on. You know the majority of us have our minds in the gutter most of the time...
Shadow Lass pressing Persuader's face into the gutter while Karate Kid triumphantly holds the atomic ax in background - Timber Wolf smirking, arms folded, at his side.
Beauty's where you find it. Not just where you bump and grind it.

[considers some more]
Nope.
I've still got nothing. Maybe I'll go to one of the threads down the block and borrow a cup of ideas from Set. He always seems to have plenty of them lying around.

...Karate Kid, Timber Wolf and Shadow Lass battling the Persuader in the pouring rain. The difficult thing about this scene is that the three Legionnaires have very similar attack styles, so it's hard to do without them getting in each other's way. I see Shady in the background projecting dark beams which are being cut by the Persuader's ax, but nonetheless are effectively distracting him as KK hits him low, his legs about to sweep Persuader off his feet, while TW hits him high, coming at his head from above.

I'd see Umbra, sneaking in under her mind shadow that makes her void to him, as her 'Lydea Darkstar' power of smashing shadow forms into hammer like projectiles flying to smash his hands holding the axe.
KK has done a frontal manuver where the axe blade has been caught on either side and he's twisting the blade and handle to the side toward Umbra's approaching shadow hammers.
Meanwhile, the super actorbat is doing an end over end flip toward the back of the Persuader's head.
A singin' and a dancin' along the way.

How about:
Mon-El, Supergirl, and Ultra Boy in the skies over Metropolis trying desperately to stop the incoming missiles from a 10,000 ship strong Khund war fleet.

My choreography for the Persuader vs. KK, TW & Shady:
Brin uses Ax to bind Pers' arms behind his back. Shady is projecting a globe of shadow around Pers' head, blinding him. KK performs a kick to Pers' diaphram. In the rain.

He is using invulnerability to let the missles explode on him one at a time, maybe a couple or few at a time. Mon is just plowing through them like a mad mad, leaving a trail of explosions all over the (2 page spread?) scene. Supergirl has fashioned sort of a net with her cape and is collecting as many as she can. Visually, I'm placing Jo in the center, the "camera" closest to him with a couple impressive explosions. He's gritting his teeth and squinting his eyes. Supergirl's "net" is taking up most of the left side of the page. Imagine her in a dynamic action pose, lots of hair. Mon's trail of explosions start on the left and zig zag across the image to the right side, where he has a very stiff pose, grim face.

I would have Ultra Boy using his flash vision to explode missiles from a distance, Supergirl also using her heat vision, and Mon-el flying directly at the source of the problem. In this case, I would place Mon-el in the center and Supergirl and Ultra Boy back-to-back. I picture this as a cover to the issue.
