For those of you that live for spoilers...

DC First Looks

These pages look promising...I hope this arc doesn't fizzle.

Great! Thanks Mike! I was waiting all day for them to update their site as I thought we'd get a Legion First Look.

Looks to me like another four pages that, when I was a kid, would have only taken up four panels...

What's with all the "Darkseid IS" business? Wasn't it enough the we got "Universo IS"? Are DnA that unoriginal or is there a connection??

Doesn't look like this issue will be the mind blowing ending that would save this storyline. I'm still hopeful though.

Great art as usual, but I'm sad to say that the story that's told in those four pages (such as it is) is disappointing -- way too much static exposition.

I'll save my final comments for after I read the entire issue, but I'm not that hopeful that it'll be anything spectacular.

And probably would've ended with an inane Beppo the Super-Monkey back-up tale? wink

At least we would have gotten a back-up tale.

I couldn't read the dialog from my PC at work, just look at the pretty art. But after reading it from home I have to agree. More padding than Joan Crawford's shoulders.

Maybe the next team will start out better.

Being that I have been a Cub fan all my life, I feel that I can say "That this issue is gonna be great" with a straight face. There's always hope, and if it does suck, well then wait 'til next issue. Ahh... Me Cubbies have prepared me well over the years.

I don't know when they started the "Darkseid IS" thing...but I do know it's not just DnA's doing. The first time I saw it was in the JLA trade "Rock of Ages". I'm not as up on DC history, so I don't know if that's the first time it was used, but it's definitely the first time I saw it...

Oooooh I remember that one. Darkseid had a great big Grandmother Box, writing by Morrison, art by Porter.

Those were the days (for me... wink )

I find it promising that Comics Continuum carried the 4 page preview. More recognition than Legion often gets during it's monthly release. Anything to spread the word.

To my knowledge this is only the second time that the new series has received a First Look from DC. CC has the 4 page (plus cover) first looks every week but they are usually for the same comics (Batman, Superman, JLA, etc). It is nice that they finally saw fit to do another one of The Legion.

I only remember one other time that Legion made the first looks too. And that first "Cub" comic was priceless Scott, thanks for the laugh.
