They only appear as dopplegangers to us two-eyed readers. With *three* eyes, we'd see each robot as the distinctive individuals that they truly were!

He could have a more distinguished name, and "Nardo" would be the nickname he was given as a persecuted youth, which set him on the road to evil-doing.

Ghengis, Napoleon, Hitler, they all hated their parents (it's true, trust me. ) as did all the really despicable conquerors. Nardo HAD to be his given name. One of those things socially isolated parents do without realizing the implications. Real Story: a local coach was given the name William J. by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Queen. Yep, little Billy grew up to be B. J. Queen. THAT had to be difficult.

There was a character way back when on "Taxi" called Elaine Nardo. You don't think...
Nah.

Why Nardo wasn't shown as the camp Kommandant in Legion of 3 Worlds will forever remain a mystery, unless he pulls off a surprise appearance in remaining issues.
He also could have been used in The Universo Project, running the prison farm for Universo. The guy had experience, after all.

*sigh* Oh the Sliver Age, nice place to visit but I don't think it was a very nice time. Death, Betrayal,Torture, and that's just with the Nardo. story.
On the other hand Silver Age Fashion was the BOMB, Nardo and Alaktor rocked the purple did they not?
I sought truth.. and found friendship and love, which even your lies can never take the memory of from me. (B5 to Time Trapper LSH 50)

Since Lightning Lord was last seen playing second fiddle to Saturn Queen, and she crashed and burned in the last Legion version, I nominate Nardo to head up a revived Legion of Super-Villains and get some galactic-class criminality underway.

Hmm... maybe in a twist Nardo could capture and imprison villains?

Yes. It is surprising that Nardo never had a comeback.
