I think it would be fitting for Projectra to adopt the Sensor Girl identity. Wouldn't the sole survivor of a devastated planet and last heir of its royal family be a highly prized political pawn? The Legion could protect her, and the secret identity would keep potential political enemies from threatening her.
What was I thinking about?

I haven't been reading the new Legion, but the new Projectra looks awesome, but has no powers and that sucks monkey balls.
And to show I bear no ill will, I, too, shall bestow a gift...

Sacrelidge! Still...the rumor is going around (baseless, of course) that Projectra will "discover" her power in issue #11. There's a solicit for that issue somewhere around here that hints at something like that. I'm way too lazy tonight to dig for it but maybe tomorrow I'll be motivated to find it in order to defend my crazy theory

The problem with this is Sensor Girl was a cool...confident character. I don't want to see a ditzy Sensor Girl. Plus Sensor Girl wasn't part of the Adventure Era Legion so no! Personally I think it would be a good move...Princess Projectra sounds like a She-Ra character. I like Sensor Girl more...not that it's a terribly cool name...but it is a very cool costume! The masked female Legionnaire was sexy.

From what I read, Cosmic Boy thought Projectra was ditzy and seeing as he was the only contact with her, the others probably shared his vision of her. However, in the last issue (#10 I think) we see that she is more than just a purse, even if she doesn't seem to have powers.

I don't want Jeckie to be Sensor Girl .. not yet. I want her to have a red-hot romance with Brin Londo, and she can't do that if she's wearing a mask.

With her planet destroyed she's not the princess of anything anymore. A dead planet doesn't carry much political pull. I never liked the Sensor Girl character. I thought the costume was ugly and the name was awful. She was also a victim of the Tyroc/Chemical King syndrome in that her "beefed up" powers were too vague and undefined with no real limits set on them, making her too hard to write for. Besides, her powers didn't need beefing up if the writers had an ounce of imagination and used her effectively [as in her debut in Adv. 346] instead of just having her make cops and monsters appear out of thin air as was usually the case.

I love Sensor Girl. Super cool.
But I don't mind her as Projectra. Seems with the destruction of her planet she's not a ditz any more. Speaking of "sensor girl" she was the only one to notice that the bad guy (Elysuis?) was wearing Brin's jacket. And she somewhat manhandled him. Hope she becomes a bad @ss.
That pic by Drake rocks!

I'd forgotten about that short lived costume. It's a lot better than that ugly red and white one.

My favorite of the two as well; In fact, I *loved* this look. Loved how Giff would drop the illusionary face-mask sometimes, too.

I loved that drawing of Sensor Girl so much, I put it up as my desktop at work yesterday.
At *least* ten people passing my desk stopped to ask me about it and say how cool it looked!
I'm always changing my desktop and I've never had *anyone* stop to comment, let alone several people!

You know if they made Shrinking Violet...Atom Girl. Might as well call PP Sensor Girl when she gets her powers. Just to keep the girl/boy stuff. It'd be hypocrisy not too! heh. (but if we get Wolf Boy, Anti-Mattter Lad, or Rock Kid, or Tracker Lass I'm out!)

It wouldn't be political pull in the sense of a government's, but if she's this era's version of R.J. Brande, I could see a lot of diplomats trying to curry favor with her.
