Ok so my bargain bin diving pays off again as I pulled an issue of Action comics this time! It was the big reveal of the identity of the new Starfinger from 1965 (let's just say Brainy must've been doing some pretty heavy derugs not to pick up on this one earlier, but then what fun would that have been) It was a really fun issue and only $0.20 I also Picked up Superboy in a $1 bin in Monrovia that was the origin of Wildfire/Erg-1

The whole of German ebay is a single cheap box - if you can afford the postage to the U.S., just have a look, there's nearly no comic buyers market here so the good stuff goes away cheap and the bad stuff even cheaper smile

I've done ebay but unless you can buy bulk the postage kills you. I am lucky enough to live in Los Angeles where we have a convention at least once a month and a trade show 2x a week where we can find $0.25 boxes and oftet 5 for a $1 and sometime $0.10 each. There are also several stores with $1 and $0.25 boxes in the area. The hunt is very addicting.

Direct link to the "International Comics" section:

Don't wonder if you find lots of German comics there, people are not sure where to put their stuff cause the sub-categories are kind of weird. But you should find your way without any German smile

There aren't a lot of conventions in Germany, and if there are any, the cheap boxes are seldomly cheaper than "1 Euro per comic". Very rarely you find some 50 cent boxes, and they are really full of junk. Considering that, German ebay really is a bargain for us, cause there are no 10 cent bins (I would LOOOVE those but hey, I would buy a lot of stuff I don't really need and there is only limited space in my flat...)

I could never visit the US because I would pay enormous amounts of extra lugguage fees on the way back smile

tell me about it ;-) at $0.10 I'll buy almost anything... however I was able to walk out of there one day with over $100 legion books (Including a very near complete run of 5yl and a ton of between that and superboy) for $25 And have proceeded to walk out of there with stacks and stack full since. The place in monrovia that has the $1 superboys still beats that though.

Dangerous stuff, cheap comics - they're so inviting, then they move in and take over your closets. Lots of fun reading the old stuff for the first time, though.
