Good article Quis E! The good thing about the Legion is the team is so big we don't really need to flesh out Quislet much. As for relating to him? Heck I don't know how people related to the Vision or Red Tornado. They are toasters! Atleast Quislet was a sentient ball of energy (like Wildfire!). Would having more of a body help? I don't think so. I think Quislet is suppossed to be a supporting character. On team books there is usually a core (or a rotating core) and some characters that never really make it as a main character. I think Quislet should always be a sppt character. A background character, etc. Kind of like Proty or the Super-Pets. In other posts we've talked about Mon-El being an explorer and maybe he should lead the Wanderers with Shady at his side. I would add Quislet as well.

Just think... if DC had kept to Lightle's original idea for Quislet, that he was a tiny wormlike creature, it could've been him eating reality in 52 rather than Mr. Mind!

Quislet rocks! When the Legion was getting kind of gloomy near the end of the Baxter run, he reminded us all that Legionnaires could save the universe AND have fun.
I always thought that if he used inertron statues, he could stay in a human form for a while, anyway (especially if Chemical King could help control the breakdown reaction?). His abilities have a lot of possibilities which have hardly yet been explored.
Quislet probably would be best in the role of support rather than a featured Legionnaire. That said, there is a lot of open writing area with this one.

Can Quislet inhabit a Legion flight ring? It would be cool to see Ms. Foccart wearing a Legion ring inhabited by Quislet. Symbiote? ![wink wink](/forums/images/graemlins/default_dark/wink.gif)

My theory is that Quislet, Tellus, and Magnetic Kid were never members in the Action continuity.
I actually think there's a lot that can be done with Quislet in terms of character development, while still maintaining the basically hedonistic core to his personality.

It would have made much more sense for it to have been Quislet that inhabited Red Tornado's body rather that Wildfire as written in the Lightning Saga.
I always loved the little guy as well and was very displeased with the way they just wrote him out of the membership. Hopefully he will make it back in the new run.

Yeah, that "inhabiting Red Tornado's body" thing was weird, but wasn't there at least one version of Reddy (from his mini-series in the 80s perhaps) that showed him to be a tornado inside a robot shell? Kind of like Wildfire is inside a containment suit.
I could be wrong.

I could be wrong. Red Tornado was "animated" by the Tornado Tyrant from Rann. This was revealed in the original JLofA series. And in perfect Silver Age fashion...only the readers know this because when they "merged" the Tornado Tyrant loses his memory of his previous life. Plus it was during this adventure the All Star Squadron was introduced.

What about Red Tornado being an elemental? Didn't that happen at some point too?

I'd rather not have the Red Tornado's body in the Legion at all. It doesn't appear Wildfire is using it. Infact, that is one of the things that make me think if the LS and Action Legion's are not the same.
A robotic body of Quislet will give you the same problems as his ship. No facial expressions.
