And it looks like my theory about this being Colossal Boy's parents is wrong. I really think you picked the best angle for this cover, Barry. It's much more effective this way and (as I said in the e-mail) Supergirl's look is priceless. Definitely a winner that makes me long to read the story behind it. The way covers are supposed to be.

I did manage to find another rough stage for this cover though...and here it is! At this point I was wondering if I really wanted to attempt to draw Kara's face at that angle! Ah! But that was for me at least the best part of the cover. This "rough" is still more detailed than your average artist's finished work. I really can't wait to see the story behind this cover. This series is just the right amount of Silver Age-ness for me.

It was great to see the stages towards the production of the final cover. I think that angle on Kara adds an element of intrigue to the cover - what is she looking at?
