I cried. I'm a softie, and I'll cry at lots of stuff, but the end of the Pre-Boot really tore me up.
If there's one thing the Pre-Boot has taught me in my read-through, it's that the Legion is the Legion, no matter the time, space, or reality. Somehow, they WILL endure. So, I don't care what Boot we're on now, or how many Boots we'll eventually acquire. As long as they tell compelling stories like the ones of the Pre-, Post-, and Third-Boots, I'll be there.
Long Live The Legion!!!

We're here for you. I remember being devastated by End of an Era the first time around. Coleen Doran's Superboy scene, the shifting and changing Dev-Em, Valor's love of Shadow Lass, the life and death of Laurel Gand and all the little things that were referenced touched me deeply. All of it dredged up a lifetime of collecting and reading and faithfulness to my favorite comic book of all time. Now you understand what it is we both mourn and celebrate with such energy and conviction on LegionWorld. Welcome to the club.

I remember being so moved at the time I tried to explain it to my wife...who, true to form, smiled, tilted her head slightly, and went back to whatever she was reading.
The only consistent feature of all of your dissatisfying relationships is you.
Don't judge me!

Long Live The Legion!!! Didn't you just love it when in the fourth issue of the "5 Year Gap" story-arc Mon-El said pretty much the same thing? Now that kind of brought a tear to my eye. Anyway, I'm really glad to hear that you enjoyed the pre-boot, stuff, Pex the Unalive!
If the meek shall inherit inherit the Earth, then I at least want Baffin Island - and a property manager to work for me who is made of sterner stuff than I.
