"Universal Annihiliation" is this another way of saying Crisis as in Final Crisis?

is the threeboot universe really going to be annihilated?

Well, I trust Shooter to stick to his original plan that his arc won’t connect to Final Crisis in any way.

Another gorgeous FJM cover. If you really want to imagine things, the “mirror, mirror” imagery could mean the inexplicable behaviors of Projectra and Saturn Girl are linked.

”Timber Wolf goes beserk.”

And it’s not only the girls acting funny now. Are those claw marks on Jeckie’s ribs? If those two were to duke it out, Brin would go down, imo.

"Lightning Lad finds comfort in the arms of … the president?"

Zounds, what the heck took them so long? They should be married with two kids by now. (Or is this just another example of the lunatic behavior going on?)

“Phantom Girl is catastrophically injured, and she'll never be the same again!"

Tinya stuck in phantom form?

Ye gads, that LO3W cover is absolutely ghastly. Johnsboot Brainy looks like he needs some of Thom Kallor's medications.

Speaking of Johnsboot Thom Kallor, I hope he creates a big black hole and gets sucked into it.

Egads, I had no idea that was Projectra. I thought it was Imra facing some "Dark Saturn Girl" entity. That would explain her brain transplant manoeuver when she was snogging with Jo in the pantry.

Why is it always Tinya who again has to be messed around with? She's already died once in one incarnation of her character, then there was the whole Imra impersonation of Tinya and there was also the whole Phase phase. Leave her be!

RE: Phantom Girl -- as long as she doesn't turn into a charred-husk, ghosty, half-Carggian single mother with 3 bodies and a convoluted non-connection to a present-day DCU storyline, I would consider ourselves lucky. And she's not boring, she's classic!

Throw in Adventure #350 and #351 and they could have called it "The Complete Life and Death of Ferro Lad."

All bleached out like that, Projectra looks like a really pale Tasmia, more than herself. If Timber Wolf indeed flips out, those two are the most likely to end in blows afterwards, as Imra will be the one expected to shut him down, and Jeckie will be the one to react most extremely to that.

Things seem to be moving along, at least. Both on the action plotline and in the character advancement. Hopefully the build-up has some interesting payoff, in both cases. The Waid run (and the Ultimates, and Heroes, and...) left me a bit leery of long-running storylines that end with a limp whimpering non-resolution.

Gosh, Brainy just looks wrong with his hair out of control. Yes, fine, metaphor for his disheveled mental state, but I still hate it. And why does he have cat-man-face? Did he become part Kzinti recently? Was he auditioning for the role of Vincent in Beauty & the Beast? Botox-of-space experiment gone horribly awry?

LO3W #3 (Cosmic Boy cover) has just been postponed to 12/3/08, so the chances #4 (Brainy cover) is gong to ship in the same month are now very, very slim.

"Universal Annihilation"??? Sounds like a red herring! (Please...) Looks like the main series will tie-in to Lo3W.

Pleased that JSA is finally wrapping up, a bit interested in how the return of a sane 'Johnsboot' Thom would affect Lo3W too.

And is that Dark Saturn Girl? Or a Jeckie/Tasmia hybrid?

She is.
3Boots version is the worst, too.
MOST of the 3boot Legion is boring.
Tinya and Jecka are the worst, though.
Add Ayla, Tasmia, Lu and Imra to that 'worst' list!
Sad. frown

Actually, didn't that happen to her in the reboot? And only merging with Phase let her become solid again.
