I've heard at least one person suggest that the person in the shadows in #2 was Timberwolf. Did anyone else think it was him? I had thought Waid said something to the effect that T-Wolf wouldn't show immediately, but I may be wrong. Thoughts?

I heard he refused to show his face after being renamed Wolfykins Lad.

My initial thought was that it was Invisible Kid in the shadows (Brainiac's recruit). My other two candidates would be Chameleon and Duplicate Boy (escaped from the carnage of Lallor in issue #1)

Waid stated they were *initially* going with a cast that fit the "boy/girl, etc." naming convention, but I wouldn't rule him out. In fact, I think T-Wolf will be among the first (perhaps the first) of the missing Adventure characters to appear. Waid said later:
"And, to be honest, I may be unique in the universe in that I was just never a big fan of Timber Wolf — but Barry LOVES him, and I've no doubt we can come up with a take SOON that we can both be happy about." (Sequential Tart, November 2004; emphasis mine)
They could easily get around the codename stricture by introducing him as one of Brainy's operatives, rather than a full-fledged Legionnaire, with membership coming later. Whoever it is, Barry confirmed that the guy B5 sent through the transmatter in issue #3 was Mystery Boots, not any of the Legionnaires (e.g., Invisible Kid, Chameleon) we've seen so far, and that he will play a large role in issue #5. We'll see in about a week.

I have a feeling he will be further down the line. I just really hope he escapes a silly codename.

T-Wolf would hardly be the first to defy the naming convention. Remember, Brainiac 5 is a member.

Good point Ferro Boy. B5 is a great villain, erm, I mean...member within the Legion. If he has plans for universal domination I may have to vote for B5 at the next leader election. I doubt Brin will have a silly code name.
