with regards to BARRY KITSON, if the inker is the right one, his work can look great !!!
"JLA: Year One" and "The Brave & The Bold" both looked excellent !!! but i thought his "TITANS" work looked a little rushed and not as detailed .....
i love to see CARLOS PACHECO on the book !!! and he has just signed an exclusive deal .....

I'd be upset if DnA were being forced off the title, but that doesn't seem to be the case. And lets face facts, being handed Superman is a pretty big compliment on DC's part. As for the possibility of Waid coming on as writer, this is the guy who recreated most of the post-boot Legion, and he has credits in around 30 issues of LSH and Legionnaires (including Vi. ) I'd love to see his take on this slightly older Legion. I agree with everyone that it'll be a shame to loose Batista and Wallace, but it may be that the PTBs thought Kitson's somewhat darker work would help avoid any preception that Legion was returning to its "Archie" roots.

Well, I'm a little surprised by this news, but personally I think it's time as far as DnA are concerned. The last few issues I've read (I'm at least one issue behind, I think) have left me sort of unimpressed. But I will add my name to the list who think Batista and Wallace are going to be missed. I've really warmed up to their art.
To everything, turn, turn, turn, etc.

Well three months have past since the last post to this thread, and still no official word on the new, "long-term" creative team...
Somebody confirm something or at least start some rampant speculation... Please.

I've been wondering about what Carlos Pacheo has lined up after Arrowsmith. In his Spring 2001 Comicology interview, there was this exchange: Q: You've been working exclusive to Marvel for years, but anyone who reads this interview must wonder about you working on the DC icons. What would you like to do there someday?
PACHEO: Once my friend Mike Carlin asked me in public when I was going to do Superman. I'd like to do Superman. And if I ever get the power of the Beyonder, I'll make it so that every post-Crisis event has been a dream. (Laughs) If DC Comics would go back to the old DC Multiverse, then I would work on the Legion and the Justice Society with pleasure. I'd love to do Kamandi, and also the Justice League. ( bold added) Earlier in the interview he also talks about how much he enjoyed the Legion when he was growing up, and how much potential it (and the Earth-2 concept) had because they were unencumbered by the present-day DC universe stuff. Isn't he exclusive to DC right now? Is he too slow for a monthly book?

If Carlos Pacheo became the new Legion penciller I think I would break down in tears of happiness! Not only do I *love* his work but it would mean that DC are prepared to start really getting behind the Legion.
I mean Waid and Pacheo!?! Those are some pretty big name creators in comics these days. If they were attached to the Legion I bet many more readers would be willing to give this title a shot.
What a wonderful thought!

According to Gail at the DCMBs, Dan Jurgens and Andy Smith are doing the art for her arc. Gail confirms Dan and Andy Looks like DnA are going to be around a while longer.

That's what being a post "you-know-what" is all about. Just wish I didn't hurt so damn bad to type now.

Seems like a good time to this thread... let everybody go back and read what they put down when the rumors first flew that DnA were being replaced, and see if they still feel the same way now as they did then. I for one am really looking forward to Waid and Kitson coming on. Could have happened about a year earlier... about the time Sharn Nux disappeared.
