I'm wondering if the comics shipped in the US will be a day late because Monday was a national holiday.

It's shipping today? GREAT! Does anyone on the East Coast actually have it in their hands (I like a little confirmation ;-)?

Picked mine up around 10am in KCMO. Very nice. I am really liking the way Waid is developing the plot in this title. Kitson's art is simply fantastic!! I am hooked on this series. I realize that there are people that don't like Waid and Kitson, but I have to say that my level of satisfaction from what they have done so far is at 100%.
Still waiting for Mon-El!!

Yes, and there were many fun little nuggets of info there to dig up. Plus a Legionnaire that looks like it could have been drawn by sometime Legion fan artist David King, which made me almost laugh.

WOW! What an incredible issue! This is the closest we've gotten to the Legion I'ved loved since the early days of the reboot. The story and art are simply amazing! Great job Mark and Barry!
S P O I L E R S ! ! !
I'm excited by the fight for Legion leadership between Cosmic Boy and Brainiac 5. I wonder who's in the shadows with Brainy. Cos using Triplicate Girl to gauge the motivations of his teammates is both cool and scary. Triplicate Girl's origin is also a great twist. I wanted to hate it at first, but by page 28, I was hooked.
The Legionnaires playing and Cham's "I am!" jokes are priceless.
This series is an incredible bridge between the groovy Silver Age and sophisticated Modern Age styles of storytelling. Nice!

I had much the same feeling regarding the revised TG origin. My first thought was that this was going to be a terrible disaster... but somehow I'm okay with it.
I would think that she would've been able to piece together more about the "disaster" and who she was from records left on the planet, though.

Makes you wonder about how that whole situation came to be, doesn't it? She apparently didn't find even the remains of other humanoids. We don't even know if the "original" was really the original or a copy. Or which side, if any, of the conflict she was on. She's really just assuming Cargg was here home planet.

I enjoyed the twist on her origin. However, it does raise lots of questions. For me the most pressing was how does she even know she is a teenager? I didn't like this issue as well as last issue, but it was still entertaining.

#3 is even better than #2! I definitely agree. It's got to be good for a series if it just keeps getter better with every issue!

I *like* your priorities. (Cellular testing?) I still think the idea of underager is probably kind of fluid in the new Legion - with all the different alien races who age differently, and the not unreasonable assumption that even the human lifespan is extended, it would *have* to be.

Maybe all her current selves are technically children, only having been in existence for a few years...
Loved this issue, too. It felt a little disjointed after the last issue, but came together at the end and on subsequent reads. And I'm surprisingly satisfied with Triplicate Girl's origin given that she didn't really get a powerup at all over past iterations.
I'm very interested in the Brainy/Cos rivalry. A "darker" Cos has turned out well...I'm not really sure who to root for yet, which is as it should be.
Great characterizations of Ultra Boy and Sun Boy. It was fascinating to compare Sun Boy's scenes with Triplicate Girl's later description of him.
Can't really think of anything else to say besides more gushing right now...

I'm not quite sure if I like the "Madrox" type multiplying power, but definitely an interesting twist to the character. Makes one wonder if she's been gentically created/altered/enhanced (clone of some sort?) by the way she's acting..... Sun "Clark Kent" Boy and Triplicate "Lois Lane" Girl was hilarious though. As were the dates. (Use your powers, baby. )

Tromites - nudists. Carggites (Carggite?) - nudist(s). If Winathians are still into nudity then there is more than a youth revolution afoot in the UP. Best issue yet. I'll be rereading it again as I scan it but I didn't find anything not to like. A perfect blend of action, adventure, espionage, mystery and comedy. Mark, Barry. Any chance of extending your contracts so that we'll have you on board for, say, the next 5 years at least? Keep up the good work guys.

I agree with the people who didn't like TG's origin at first, but then it clicked at the end. Telling Cos about how those three are now outcasts from the rest of her selves added a unique twist to the concept.
And what a fun issue! I loved all the dates and the complexities of everyone's relationships.

I guess I am in the minority that really did not like TG's "new" origin. I think that Lu was handled so great in the reboot with the different personalities and all. I just don't like that she comes from a world where everyone is her. This seems like a giant step back in her character. It's a shame that this does not click for me, especially since Barry draws a very sexy Lu. I did enjoy her dates with Jan, Dirk, & Jo. She still displays a talent for espionage as she really took advantage of all 3 of the guys to get information for Cos. I also didn't like the fact that Jan's transmutions (?) only last 60 seconds. Jan was always one of if not the most powerful members and now he has some severe limitations. I don't mind the fact that he has to touch an object to transmute, but I really think the 60 second limitation is not necessary. I really got a bad scare with the scene between Jan and PG. Jan has always been my favorite male Legionnaire and PG has always been my least favorite Legionnaire ever. I just can't stand her. Maybe Waid can do something with her to make her interesting for a change and not the whiny bitch that she has always been portrayed as. I was releived that PG was just helping Jan prepare for his date with Lu and that he is not dating PG. I don't want this post to sound completley negative, there were some parts of the story that I really did enjoy. Cham's scenes were very funny and I think he should be having trouble fitting in. It seems very natural. I LOVED the fact that Jan likes to be naked all the time and am hoping we get to see some more of him in his natural state. The artwork was stupendous as always, but the TG origin was very lame. I guess all the extra copies of Lu will come in handy as she has a long history of being killed. I wonder if 1 dies do they all die? After all, they all came from the same girl. The outer rim storyline has me intrigued and I can't wait to see how this plays out. The Brainy and Cos battle for leadership should also be quite entertaining. I liked the scene with Light Lass, Lyle and Gim. I wonder if Lyle pulled his disapearing trick because he recognized one of the SP Officers. If you recall, his father is an SP. Goodness, this has turned into my longest post!! I still like the direction the storys are going, but I have to give the issue a C-, mostly because of the hokey origin for Lu. Despite my negative criticism I am still enjoying the series and look forward to next issue.
I am smelling like a rose that somebody gave me on my birthday deathbed.
