Hi Guys
Just wanted to let those of you who enjoy such things that there are now scans of about half dozen of the interior pages of #12 up on my website!
Hope you enjoy seeing them!

Beautiful work Barry. I think you are one of the few artists (IMO) that I love seeing the b&w/inked work as much as I love seeing the final colored version. The details are just awesome. Page 21 with Cos broadcasting to the teens of the galaxy is a classic.

I love seeing your pencil work almost as much as seeing the final version. So much so that I would probably pay out for a "pencil/ink only varient edition"
the detail and delicacy of the pencil work is amazing.

Wouldn't that be cool? The Legion sells out and a second printing with pencil/ink varient cover and interiors? I'd buy it!

Thanks for creating this wonderful art month after month in the series, even when you couldn’t do the interior art, you still gave us an amazing cover.

And thanks for sharing the original pencils, inks, markers, prelims etc…..

It is so great to have a creator/artist have this type of connection and interaction with the fans.

i agree, Barry, i like your pencils better before the inks regardless of who the inker is it seems. although inkers capable of a lot of detail do the most justice. like Art Thibert. i would be interested in seeing Andy Lanning ink you. your pencils are so detailed complete and polished. how do you do it?

i'm curious who some of your comic artist influences are. at the beginning of this LSH run, i thought i was seeing a big Jim Starlin influence. Lately, with the army filled fight scenes, i see some George Perez. Who would you say has inspired and influenced you, Barry?

Would love to see the no inks method atleast for one issue. Heck do it on a back up story in a issue where Barry might not do the feature!

The level of detail is amazing. I would love to see old Legion inkers Kesel or Mahlstedt ink Barry. Other inkers? KEITH GIFFEN inking Barry would rock. Perez would rock MORE! Bryan Hitch...cause the pencils reminds me of his Ultimates a bit. Speaking of Ultimates...who colors that? Would do well on this title methinks.

I really appreciate the kind words - I know from experience how difficult it is to ink my pencils...though I have never quite worked out why...if I could crack that one I'd definitely aiming to make life easier for those hardy enough to try inking me. I do think we've been very lucky to have had such excellent inkers on LSH!

If there are any other particular pages you'd like to see the pencils versions of just let me know and I'll try to have them added to the site for you!

As for a pencil variant version - I'd love to see - start petitioning TPTB!

I'd like to add my voice to those wanting to see either a pencil variant of an issue or a back up tale all done in penicl by Barry!

also, on your website LSH gallery, who are those heads in the circles on your Cover Thumbnail for Issue #12?

Nope, you're not seeing things!
Yes I do have a lot of fun with my job - how could I not? I think the heads in question were just random ones that someone put there when teh logo was being designed - I like your guesses though!

Another vote here for a pencils-only version. Black-and-white comics are very appealing!

Pencils only would be a blast.

So Vi's asian. Cool. I've thought before that that change would work well with Vi.

Mebbe she and Karate Kid might become a couple...

Apart from Barry's considerable generosity, I note his confidence. His latest pencils are marked as being for "Legion Issue #0015."

With only "Detective Comics" (I think) even, to date, approaching the four-figure realm of issue numbers, I'd say that this shows the ultimate possible optimism!
