Tarik the mute – re imagined So who do we think this “new” Tarik will be. Will he still have an android companion to speak for him? A mute? So will he be Titanian with an atrophied voice box thus able to communicate with his LSV and control them at the same time. Will Tarik the Mute just be a media nickname along the lines of certain Mafioso type characters today and if so why? Let’s have some idle speculation here folks we are missing an opportunity.

He hasn't been called "the Mute" yet, has he? (Or could Tarik even be a she?  ) I'd like to see the Mute as a nickname, maybe because he silences people, or refused to talk when questioned by police. Or turn the tables and make him a chatterbox to rival Cosmic Boy. Maybe he's one of the underagers, with enough leadership skill to organize a group. That might be preferable to having another adult, like Lemnos, organizing super-powered teenagers to fight the core Legion. His objective: is taking on the Legion a side issue, since the team was stealing artefacts? Or are the thefts a cover for destroying the Legion?

Actually he was referred to as "Tarik the Mute" in the solicit for #24! Would be kinda cool if he was from Titan, but he did not let it on. Maybe appearing to only speak telepathically, but not read minds? And MOST Legion villans are adults right? aka. The Man. LLLater!

"the Mute" is just an old Titanian family name.
Davix the Mute was the author of the Titan Constitution. Alyce the Mute was his wife and a shrewd politician in her own right.

Maybe, it will be connected to the robot rebellion and Tarik the Mute is mute because he is dead and his corpse is being animated by the "communication" robot that is always by his side. The Robots are coming, the robots are coming
