This book is going to RAWK!

I thought his Projectra looked HOT! Love her smirk on the cover. That's a smirk that says, "I eat snakes for breakfast!!" Or something.

And don't get me started on his Sun Boy!!! *dreamy sigh* I met the cutest little red-headed guy last night, too!

And what about his Ultra Boy? I love that whole "treat 'em mean but keep 'em keen" look that he has going.

And call me crazy but I think Nura's a whole lot more attractive mole-free.

Brainy doesn't look anything like Ultra Boy or Cham.

I'm very much looking forward to some preview pages from inside the book! How soon before we might see some of these? In the Dec. Previews, maybe? Early November, after the Dallas panel, maybe something on-line for us Legion junkies?

Er. One's green. And the other's got antennae. Try to tell Projectra, Dream Girl and Imra apart.

I didn't have any more trouble telling them apart then I might have if any number of people had drawn them. When drawing similar characters of a similar age, the facial features can be similar based on an artist's style and the characters being drawn. In the case of Projectra, Dream Girl and Imra, there aren't a lot of physical attributes to set them apart (with the exception of Nura's beauty mark). They are of a certain age and a certain physical type. You would need to rely on other things to differentiate between them, such as hair style/color, jewelry and perhaps masks or costume characteristics like a particular collar.

With characters with known physical differences, it's much easier. A character like Ultra Boy might have a broader face than a character like Brainiac Five. Coipel was able to make Brainy even more different by giving him the big ears, but he had to change the norm by doing so, since Brainy had never been drawn that way before.

A character like Shadow Lass might also be an exception, since many artists have given her more elfish features, with pointed ears and a longer pointed chin.

You try to tell me what features should distinguish those three from each other. They're all fair haired, blue eyed with lovely proportions. What features did Barry not illustrate on each one of them to show the difference? What features did Curt Swan or Mike Grell or Keith Giffen draw differently for each of those women? What's missing?

As for Brainy, Jo and Cham... take a look at the new series' cover art again. Those three have completely different facial features as well as the assorted coloring you mentioned.

You are trying to make an objective argument about something that is very subjective.
