There's still a few things 'tucked away' I haven't seen anybody comment on yet though.... If nobody spots these little details by the time #2 comes out, will you enlighten us? Might as well be recognized for your efforts.

Reading LOSH#1 for the upteemth time (God, it is a looonnnggg time since I have done that Thanks to the creative team for this long-lost pleasure) and trying to rise to Barry's challenge to spot the little 'touches' gava rise to the following speculations 1. Is the blue guy juggling manipulating the blue mess the new version of The Molecular Master? He does look like an andriod. 2. On Page 29, I do agree with a previous suggestion that it may be Night Girl who is featured. But way in the background, there seems to be an alien who looks distinctively Martian 3. More importantly, I was wondering about the two-page splash on the Legionnaires taking out the Lallorian force. There is one Lallorian who is highlighted in green while all the others are not, and his expression seems to indicate he is losing consciousness. No one seems to be targetting him and I was wondering if instead of 10 Legionnaires who responded to the call, there could not be 11 instead? Are we seeing Atom Girl at work? Or am I stretching here? God, I need a new comic to read and analyse. When is LOSH#2 coming out again???

A character from my first (remembered) Legion comic appears in one of the crowd scenes. On the page in which the girl is holding up a plastic-encased Adventure comic, there's a guy with folded arms who looks like the grown up version of the fish kid from "The Five Legion Orphans" (Adventure 356). Okay, it's a stretch, but I like it. Merlion's right about needing a new issue to comb through.

btw, this issue ranked #25 on the sales chart! I think that is really good and honestly thought it would be in this ball park but this higher than I thought.
Hopefully it doesn't fall off! The story certainly was a cliffhanger in the sense that there are lots of unanswered questions!

Atom Girl? I hate it.
Didn't they get the message with the Leviathan debacle that we wanted her called Shrinking Violet so that she could still be Vi for short?
Why keep all the other old code names and change this one?

Kitson's design sheets identify her as Shrinking Violet.
It's my understanding that her official codename will be "Atom Girl" (or is it Nano Lass?) in order to adhere to the boy/girl naming rule, but that the Legionnaires give her the nickname Shrinking Violet. Waid said it involved some sort of "joke" between upper and lower classmen.

Actually, wasn't that part of the point of the "LeVIathan" name? My impression was that the whole stupid "Vi inherits Gim" powers game was based on that cutesy idea of giving her the name.

Well thanks to the kindness of a fellow Legion Worlder to whoem (I can't spell that word) I am eternally grateful I finally got to read this issue! So I am finally weighing in with first impressions late in the day, but hey, better late than never as they say. I thought it was interesting. I think it has a lot of potential. I think that it has some of the atmosphere that has been missing from the Legion since the mid 80s. Like many others, I hope that the inter generational conflict is only a starting point and not the be-all and end-all. I'm sure it will be. I found the little ideological argument between Sun Boy and Cosmic Boy rather heavy-handed and preachy though. I hope that sort of thing will be kept to a minimum in future! Frankly, as an elderly 32 year old these days, I don't have a lot of empathy with rebellious teenagers anymore. All I can think of is how I was when I was that age and how I was an insufferable know it all who thought I knew everything and the older I get the more I realise I knew very little indeed! So all this 'youth as wise reformers of society' stuff makes me roll my eyes. Pafff, I'm old. But overall, I thought it was very good. I just hope that the rather tired cliched youth rebellion thing isn't overdone. (cue silver age Donna Troy going 'wow tiger you make my retro rockets blast etc')

Why keep all the other old code names and change this one? Hey her name is still Violet and she isn't a giant! I like Atom Girl much better than LeVIathan.

Yeah. "Atom Girl" is to "Shrinking Violet" as "Micro Lad" is to "Colossal Boy." One's official, the other is the REAL name.

"EAT IT GRANDPA" is I hope a phase that shows up once-in-a-while.... after all, some of us fans are now OLD ENOUGH to BE Grandpas... On Brainiac (Brainy)...The wires?? ARE a little CREEPY...they give me a feeling that the 12th level effector Intellegence is an ARTIFICIAL enhancement-rather than Inherited trait... Miss the SEXY hair in the eyes....buzz cut...too much vril dox...(?) :

White. A blank page or canvas. His favorite. So... many... possibilities.

I know this thread is way old, but I just wanted to pop by and say that I'm happy with the new version so far. It's a good start.
I love Vol.4 Prepare your stones.

Ok, here it goes, one last detail I don't think anyone noticed...
In the panel where Sun Boy is directing the Lallor defense- right next to Light Lass are three character that look very familiar... they look a lot like SW6 or Archie Garth, Imra, and Rokk...
Garth seems to be looking up at Sun Boy with a streak of blood down his face... and Imra seems to be looking out down the battlefield holding on to a bloody / unconscious Rokk. I know it *can't* be them... but it does look cute! Probably a coincidence.
Ok, time to put this one down...
Now here's a for a strange vote of a character I'd like to see a lot more of... the cute girl with blue hair on the second to last page!

Has anyone mentioned the Dawnstar deadringer on one of the last pages, or was that way too obvious?
