So, we have Levitz.
Who would you like to join him as artist, letterer (do they still have those?) and colorer?

How about fill-in team for if the main team gets a little overwhelmed?

People are mentioning Gene Gonzales, but I haven't seen enough of his work to choose him.

Is he who you want?

Steve Lightle would be at the top of my list.

Heck, Alan Davis has a nice style, although I think it works better with teens and young adults than with older figures.

Early Giffen (Great Darkness Saga-era) would be cool.

Manapul often rocked as well (particularly those first issues).

I don't know a darn thing about letterers and colorists, so shallow am I. smile

Steve Lightle would be my first choice, but I doubt he would be able to put out a monthly book, due to his record on the Legion and Doom Patrol.

Gene Gonzales is a huge Legion fan,it would be neat to have someone draw the Legion that is as passionate about them as Paul.

But like you I can't recall him on a monthly book, though I do like his art.

Giffen may work as a co-plotter and breakdown artist(it would be a good way to help keep the book on time),but alot of Legion fans have a love/hate feeling towards him on the Legion, myself included?

Alan Davis would be a big draw, and has proved he can do a monthly, but the Legion isn't your run of the mill monthly!

Another artist that reminds me of him in style is Paul Pellitier,if they could get the two of them to alternate on the book, with Mark Farmer on inks. smile

Other past Legion artists would be welcome for an issue or two like,Grell,Sherman,Starlin and Jurgens.

As for the newer artists,I'm not up on my artists like I used to be,I know the guys who worked on the Legion like Manupal and Copiel, but don't buy enough books anymore to keep up with the rest, though the Green Lantern artists look pretty darn good.

I tried to rip their soul out.I tried to make them forget Superman.
But they won't.

The Legion deserves a Legion of artists. If there's an editor who can actually edit a book, then they should schedule story arcs around the artists (I think GL's book is/was set up that way). Give them each a few issues and then rotate keeping each of them well ahead of schedule. Paul's the perfect writer for that.

My Dream Team would be Steve Lightle, Paul Smith, Francis Manupal, Barry Kitson, Chris Batista, George Perez, Jerry Ordway, & Jeff Moy...with a couple single issue stories drawn by Olivier Coipel, Mike Deodato, Mike Netzer, Paul Pelletier, Tom Feister, Stuart Immonen, Eric Wight, Salvador Larroca, Dennis Calero, & Patrick Zircher.

The letterer has to be Wes Abbott and the colorist must be Ronda Pattison. I know it sounds like favoritism, but they are the best at what they do.

Hmm, I wonder what a Legion drawn by Jill Thompson would be like. She was born to draw Lightning Lass in her current costume.
