Yeah, it's a cryptic title, but with Infinite Crisis going on, there are so many possibilities.

Why the title? Because a part of me would like to see, although it would never happen, a second Legion book picking up from right after the issue where Kara dies and moving forward without the Pocket Universe, without the death of Superboy, without Glorithverse, without the five year gap. I figure Kara's death was about a year before the five year gap, so that's why I chose the title.

Would you buy it? That is not to say I would want to see the current book gone. I think it has a lot of potential, but with a multiverse, there is no reason we can't have both.

I love the current book and will continue to buy it, but I miss the rich history of the Legion before Crisis and John Byrne messed everything up forcing retcons, reboots, and explaining away a continuity I loved.

IC#2 really brought home the idea that I would love to go to the store and pick up a copy of Legion of Super-Heroes v3 issue 16 that began with something other than Brainy watching a holo of Kara dying and moving the story forward from there and never having to see Mon-el holding watching his "brother" die a few issue later as we told all our Smallville Adventures were a lie.

Oh, well...just the musings of a die hard Legion fan from way back feeling nostalgic with what is going on in IC.

This is EXACTLY how I've been feeling the last 2 years. I've had many conversations with a friend & fellow fan recently which have convinced me that the "reboot" was simply NOT NECESSARY. With countless "elseworlds" stories, "Hypertime", etc., there's NO reason NOT to have the genuine "Earth-1" a going concern again. there's also NO reason to cancel whatever the "current" Legion title may be, either... (But try telling that to Mark Waid-- TOO late!)

By the way, it's the "Zero Hour" reboot I'm referring to as not having been necessary.

Funny that you should say that. The cover of v.3 #17 (the issue after Kara's death) has the blurb "A New Beginning!"

As long as the WaK Legion remains the primary LSH reality, I'd be happy to see the pre-Crisis LSH -- along with the original Superboy, Supergirl and Mon-El -- return on its own separate Earth. Then we could all have our cake and eat it too. But as the product of a bygone era, it shouldn't replace the new Legion, no more than Earth-2 Superman should replace Earth-1 Superman.

And if the pre-Crisis Legion still exists somewhere, it also means that Zero Hour destroyed a *different* Legion, or didn't really happen at all.

One can always pick any era, any milestone, and say, "what if..."

I personally would have loved to see a different turn around v.4 #37,38-ish... as much as the destruction of Earth was well-told, it slammed too many doors.

"6 years earlier" is right about the time the "dannyverse" stores took place. They can still be found in the Bits forum.

The titles were as follows.

Myseterious Ways
Bolt out of the Blue
Politics of Dancing
Breath of Life (uncompleted)

Hey if the 'competition' can have an ultimate line of titles that fans can follow as well as their current incarnations.....why wouldn't that work here?
