This is one future fashion trend I'd like to see ended.

I'm not crazy about them either, in fact, I am pretty much against wearing any type of "cosmetic" jewelery into combat.

Bet you guys never suffered through a day of wearing clip-on earrings!
It does seem a bit odd to wear earrings in a combat job, unless they could be weapons or some Batman-style gadget. Maybe they contain mace. Or could be used as emergency currency (the gold hoops, anyways).

In a combat situation, Cos could use Jazmin's and Imra's earrings as weapons! (Andromeda's old earrings would have been especialy effective as throwing stars.)
But see New X-Men #150 for an example of how earrings can also be used against the wearer in a combat situation... let's just hope Cos doesn't go all Magneto on his teammates...

Hey hey, what's all this talk about practicality for superhero costumes? Let's not get started there or everyone will end up looking like the "Ultimate Legion" or maybe we'll start questioning the practicality of sending teenagers into combat most of whom appear to have never received any kind of combat training ...

Superheroes can't always be practical! If they were, then we'd never have had Saturn Girl's hot pink bikini or Zoe's frilly costume or Tinya's costume with the bells and cut-outs or...

Oh, I'm not wanting them to be practical at all, I just think thefloaty-earrings look goofy.
Anti-grav earrings? What's next, the anti-grav sports bra?

Imra is forced to wear her earrings to let everyone know of her telepathic abilities.
Notice how closely Trudy's earrings match Kinetix' original insignia?
Maybe she is marked as a telekinetic?

Imra's aren't needed for that reason, she has an unmistakebable Saturn symbol right there on her pert bosoms!
Cramey, I love when women throw me money. I'll get to work right away!

Has anyone considered the possibility that they might not in fact be floating, but rather just attached with very thin pieces of twine that are only visible when you're very, very close?
