After reading the Legion since the early 1970's, (Superboy and the Legion of Superheroes #200 was the first episode that I read) I just have to wonder who really inspired this edition of the Legion? I know that in the first episode of this version of the Legion that they were saying that they were fans of all of the twenty-first century superheroes. However, if Legion history tells me anything, then there must have been a single superhero who inspired them. Was it Conner Kent? Maybe the Earth-Prime Superboy? Or maybe something different like the Titans or the Outsiders? Or maybe Kid Flash, who was originally from their time. By the way, how does he still exist since his time-line does not?

Kid Flash's timeline still exists, we're just not reading stories set there anymore.
As for an inspiration, so far it does seem as if there isn't one single hero setting the example.

If we go by the comic covers shown, it seems to be a wide range of DC heroes. What we probably won't ever know is if such adulation and imitation of the comic book heroes had occurred in any previous time between the 20th and 31st centuries - and if not, why not.
Has it been stated if the comic books are stories of real life, historical heroes (as far as the Legionnaires are concerned) or inspirational historical fiction? And are these books being produced in the 31st century or have they somehow miraculously survived 1000 years? It would be somewhat akin to teenagers today walking around with Gutenberg Bibles - although, of course, there have been far more copies of comics produced. Still, I wonder about rarity and value...

Earth Prime Superboy....hopefully.
Remember : It's not technically a suckerpunch if you yell ''DEFEND YOURSELF SPROCKER!'' two seconds before you let him have it.

Most comics produced in the 20th Century were printed on inexpensive paper which was quite acidic. That's why older comics are yellowed and brittle. The likelihood of many of them surviving over 1000 years is not great. Of course things in the DCU may have been different.
The only character in all of literature who has been described as "badnass" while using the phrase "vile miscreant."

Ann Coulter? Are you sure it was not James Carville? Wait, those two would cancel each other out. Kind of like the Monitor and the Anti-Monitor.

I'm hoping for Jonah Hex. They can mount his stuffed corpse in the rebuilt HQ!
