I hadn't thought about that... even though one of the things I liked about the Superboy crossover was that the flight ring was followed up on and remained a part of the Superboy series instead of being forgotten after the crossover.
The idea of a flying Robin is really strange, but having them just toss the rings into storage would make no sense.

I -still- don't have this yet. Both my local shops sold out in their first day. I suppose that's a good thing, except the Trader severely underorders everything, while Wonderland wasn't sure how much to order... by their Titans regular numbers, Legion regular numbers or both. The good news is Wonderland's already trying to reorder from Diamond. And I'll have my subscription copy by next week, if nothing else. But man, I was hoping to read this. If it hadn't been pushed back a week, I'd have it already.

If you talk really really nice to NightCrawler maybe he'll e-mail you those pages he scanned? At least then you'd get to read the preview

I'm a purist, Art. Gotta have the physical comic, and all that. Hell, Teeds finally got me to try out the trades for FABLES...

I feel ya Pov. I'll read the book online if I can't get to it pretty quickly but I simply MUST have a copy in my sweaty little (?) paws to really appreciate it.

The timeframe makes no sense to me at all.
Kon (TT #16): "I've been stuck here for five months ..."
Okay, that's 5 months from Foundation Day 3003, as depicted in Legion #25.
Cos (TT #16); "They (the Fatal 500) decided to strike on the anniversary of the Legion's formation ..."
Rokk MUST be referring to Foundation Day 3004, because the Fatal 500 certainly did NOT attack on Foundation Day 3003 or for weeks afterwards -- not in the DnA reality, anyway.
Kon (TT/L special): "We've been fighting the Fatal Five Hundred for months."
Huh? Now I'm really confused. Sounds like Kon's been in the 31st century for a YEAR and five months, but we know from his own words he has not. What am I missing -- or misinterpreting?
I dare not ask how the Credo arc and FNBR fit into the scheme of events.

it was all mindless but fun. it would have been nice to have a little bit more interaction between the two teams members. apparition and ultra boy certainly didn't seem to mind being lost in limbo separated from their only child, cub. kind of silly that superboy chose the titans cuz the legion could at least use the time institute to rescue the titans...and as someone else pointed out, just WHY did only one team need to be sent back to the correct time? ick. i hope this isn't what waid has in store for us. i've always thought him considerate of continuity and plot logic. but it was rapid and fun and pretty to look at. the legionnaires look better than the titans. too bad we didn't have this artist on the legion. i like sketch lad's plot ideas alot. the fatal 500 should have started fighting themselves. it would have been cool if beast boy changed into another validus! is he animal or vegetable? andromeda and wonder girl! oh well, next time.

I have re-read the special at least five times. I would have liked to seen more team interactions, but it did not happen. I have to agree with alot of comments on the board. I felt let down but then was releaved to know the Legion is in limbo. The 7 page preview was interesting.. It seemed to me that to be affiliated with the Legion you become an outsider. Is the Legion going to be a group of vigilantes of the future?? Should be interesting.
Overall is was a fast read that I felt was rushed. This could have been a great mini series.
Looking for Earth Prime.

It reminded me of the last final issue of the last LSH series that led to Legion Lost. This may end up as a 12 limited series and v4 will probably be back in their own series. Depending if the new series will be a success, though it probably won't because Waid has already declared it will be better then the other comic series.
The end of the main story of the book did seem to have a "to be continued" ending for v4 who still exist and are probably still the most "possible" future for the main DC universe.
Waid's hypertime rules hasn't worked so far and I think DC is starting to realize that.

It's Monday! That means my copy should arrive today and I'll actually be able to see what you all are talking about! Man, it seems like it's been a much longer wait than normal since the first of you got it and posted a spoiler thread!

I'm afraid I can't summon much enthusiasm for this part of the special. It was fine. Some nice nods to previous stories (Koko!), fun in-jokes and the suggestion that there's _something_ out there in the time stream causing problems/a multi-part maxi series due in 2005 :-)
But I found I didn't care much. A massive fight scene that sort of blurred into one. Almost as if Mark and Geoff were demonstrating what had been wrong with recent Legion stories - i.e yet _another_ crisis.
After the build up, my wailing and gnashing about the end of this era and anticipation of a grand finale, I suppose I was most surprised to prefer the seven page preview.
I am intrigued to see if the cliffhanger of what happens to the team as they 'white out' and where Shikari goes are ever followed up on, and also to see which future the 'regular' DCU will visit. Or can they visit both?

I thought it was fairly well done. Not much of a tragic, world-ending sendoff a la End of an Era, though.
I assume, though, that when we compare the JSA Ragnarok (a dumb idea anyways) to what's going on now, we're remembering that those characters had fifty years of continuity rather than ten...
And I'm excited about the Preview. Look like a future I could live with. Can't wait until December!

Finally! The book was waiting for me when I got home.
As others have said, as crossovers go I thought this one was very good. I enjoyed seeing the way the artists drew the multiple versions of the Fatal Five.
My main complaint concerned the characterizations. The Legionnaires for the most part come off as snobbish, constantly demeaning the Titans. I found this very much out of character for the team. They simply don't treat allies like that.
I very much enjoyed the interaction between Bart & Jenni. That was very neat to see.
The scene of Superboy in his quarters torn between the Legion & Titans was particularly good. I found myself liking him more than ever. I also found it interesting that he chose to change into his Titans costume at that point. Guess his decision was made at that point.
Cos' attitude towards Conner has been a sour point for me right from the start of Foundations. That carried over into this issue as well when Rokk demands that Conner "choose" between saving the Titans or the Legion. Huh???? That's not Cos at all!
I loved the ending. Did anyone else notice that as they were caught in the timestream (or whatever it was) and Shikari loses her grip, the other Legionnaires are depicted in the shape of an "L" with Mon as the anchor? I found this to be a very effective, moving portrayal and fitting send off for the team. (I'll admit to getting blurry vision for a moment or two as I saw this)
Ending it all with a defiant "Long Live the Legion" was absolutely brilliant and poigniant. Bravo!

so...no more reboot world. I will miss it.
I didn't like how this ended. It was flat. It was so sudden. And what the hell did Gail Simone mean when her story tied into Waid's.
I hope Waid pulls a Thunderbolts and quickly reintroduces the old team, and they have to rethink what drives them in their old universe.
Wouldn't that be great?

Maybe. I'd hate to ee the hard work that the new creators put into it get trashed already though. I'm in the 'wait and see' camp currently. I think the new Legion needs some "shakedown" time, get a few issues out and see how we all react to the new stuff. The LSH has always been ahead of the curve in experimenting with the media so let's see what Mark and Barry have dreamed up before just automatically damning it to oblivion because "the fans demand it". Really.
...you know, I actually searched for who the heck it was that demanded Reflecto and I couldn't find anybody...
