I know Superboy (precrisis Clark Kent) may take the cake overall so I guess a prerequisite is a member we have seen in every major incarnation of the Legion.

Ultra Boy is my favorite so I may be partial. I think his powers added to his every day guy routine probably wins out.

Brainiac 5 may come close along with Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, and Lightning Lad but I still think Jo is the most popular.

But honestly, Jo or maybe Lu, she has a big following for some reason. Dream Girl is pretty popular as well.

You betcha, Dreamy was always a fanboy fantasy no matter who did the art chores.
Wildfire always has a huge following but for me it was always the team powerhouses - Superboy, Mon-el/Valor, Ultra Boy and Timberwolf -in that order, that were the coolest.
XS picked up a lot of fans pretty darned fast (pun intended) for being a new kid on the team.

According to a poll run here at Legion World some time ago, the most popular Legionnaire is Invisible Kid. I guess brains, diverse skills, subtle wit and sexual ambiguity go a long way.

I kinda agree with Yellowkid. The action stars like Ultra Boy, Wildfire, Monel, and Timberwolf are popular.

I liked T-Wolf as I first saw him, which was when he was all feral. I was never all that fond of the "dumb jock" version that came later.

Cosmic Boy (preboot version) was one of my favorites.

Ultra Boy seems to be the most popular. The Sleazebag with a heart of gold.

Cham is so particular that he can represent a permanent legion symbol!
