Well, of course I miss the likes of Chuck and Tenzil and Chemical King (yeah, I'm one of those who grew up with Condo as a background player-- thank you, Mike Grell, for including him in every LSH crowd scene)-- until the sacrificialicios S/LSH # 228) and Ferro Lad (which I learned about long after the fact).
But y'know what?-- I'm finding I'm missing some of the later-era Legionnaires too.
COMPUTO... Sure, the name was unsettling to the longtime fan, but the computer-empathy/control was a power early in its stages. Danielle was ahead of her time, and I miss her greatly.
GATES... Anarchist... until confronted with life's harsh realities. In his relatively few appearances, is there anyone else who can match him for impact? I don't think so. His absence is felt monthly; he is the postboot member (IMHO) most deserving of a re-intro.
DAWNSTAR... It was a time (late 70s) that you didn't see much happening (or even cared about) the Legion. It was a time of girls who pointed their fingers to fight, or attempted to use their telepathic powers to subdue a crowd, or who prophesised a tragedy. NEVER did a woman stand beside the "big guns", ready to do battle... until Dawnstar. Her speed and invulnerability made her very important to the LSH (and let us not forget about the tracking powers that earned her a place in the Legion*).
Anyhoo, I could go on and on... Insect Queen or Wanderers or Mentalla... isn't it cool how many awesome characters there are in Legion Lore?
Please feel free to discuss someone you might miss...
*She herself would be first to remind you!

I miss XS!! I really loved the potential for that character and was disappointed it was never truly acted upon in the reboot. Sure, she had some good stories, but she never really came into her own after DnA took over.
I also miss Andromeda. And I'm pretty sure that we'll never see her, since we have Supergirl. But... she really stuck out (in the reboot) because she was so intolerant and just... it was cool. I liked reading about her, even if I didn't like her as a person.

I miss Dream Girl at the moment. But hopefully that will be resolved.
I also miss her sister, Mysa. She really brought a unique personality to the team.
I miss Polar Boy. I know... last issue and stuff. But I miss his classic look and portrayal as the ultimate fanboy who, when he can't be one of his heroes, does the best he can to emulate them.
I miss XS, Gates, and Kinetix among the post-Zero Hour crowd.

I miss RJ. Even when Legion universe adults weren't as stuffed up as they are now, he stood out as different. Not just because he was super-rich, but because of his innovative ideas and a certain measure of disrespect for the status quo.
Another one is Rond Vidar. He was a good counterpoint to Brainy and the Time Institute was fascinating. Actually, the more I think about it, the more characters there are. I'd agree with most of those already mentioned.
I never warmed up to Computo, but think Lash might be right that she was ahead of her time.

I also miss Mysa, Rond, and most of the others mentioned from the Silver age. Not to mention Condo and Mon though we're finally getting Mon back so I'm a pretty happy camper.
I never really cared for Dawnstar but I never really looked at her from the point of view Lash just put forth.
From the later versions, I miss Shikari, XS, Gates and Monstress. I didn't see enough of Magno but I think I would have liked him had he been around more.
I really miss Quislet because he was so much fun when he was around and had such an interesting power.
As for non-Legionnaires, I miss most of the supporting characters that used to be around. The likes of Gigi Cusimano, RJ Brande, and Dr. Gmy'll added so much to the fabric of the stories that their absence is really felt.

yeah Magno was kinda lame though. I did like that Bizarro Magno was like...the most powerful of all the bizarro Legion

I miss the entire universe that grew up behind the team, including SP officers like Gigi or Shvaugn, RJ Brande, Dr. Gym'll, that guy who worked in the museum and thought he was a sorcerer (and looked suspiciously like Dr. Strange), Tinya's mom, Rond Vidar, the Subs, the Academy and the various Cadets, the Heroes of Lallor, Atmos, the Gil'Dishpan, Karate Kid's aged Sensei, etc.
If Threeboot ever gets magically rebooted back a rev or two, I'd love to see what cadets like Nightwind and Lamprey are up to (and Laurel and Jed, if they aren't dead and / or 1000 year old robot assassins this week). Stone Boy, Infectious Lass, Night Girl, etc. are also longtime favorites, the Legion version of the 'not-quite-ready-for-prime-time-players.'
Heck, I wouldn't mind seeing a leaner, meaner Porcupine Pete!

Pete! I really miss having the the real Subs around. Talk about real heroes! Yes their powers weren't up to par (and it was always being rubbed in their noses) but when push came to shove, they found the strength and determination to stand tall and face down some massive threats and helped to save the world. What more could you ask for in a hero?
Glad to see the Academy students mentioned and the Lallorians as well.

I miss . . .
oddly, I miss Clark Kent Superboy. I'm not a big Superboy fan; I don't advocate his appearance in the current series; I'm sort of indifferent to Supergirl, but I miss splashy, primary colored Mike Grell covers with Superboy and Mon El.
I love Barry's Metropolis, but I miss the glistening disco-white uncrowded city with moving sidewalks.
I miss the space cruisers, the ones that looked like the techno love-children of the Enterprise and a Klingon war ship.
I miss Cosmic Boy's U-shaped, magnetic mankini. If the current Cos were to wear it, it might distract from his annoying blathering. Besides, Barry always draws Cos with a nice butt, so the mankini would look good on him. (him = Cos, not Barry -- not to say Barry wouldn't look good in a magnetic mankini...moving along.)
Condo -- even if he's just leaning on a wall waiting for something to happen. In the Cockrum and Grell era, I always had hope that he'd get to do something besides look like Cosmic Boy or Mon-El in green pajamas. Wallflower that I was (am) it was easy to identify with him. Imagine Condo in the current Legion tag-teaming with Jan and his 60-second time limit.

I miss Dawny and Wildfire the most. To me, with them flying into battle in all the best group shots, its just not the Legion without them.
I miss Sun Boy right now, whether the current version or the true version.
I miss Gates the most of all the reboot. His creation showed that you still can have excellent new Legionnaires. I miss Kinetix too and wish she got her due.
I miss Kent Shakespeare from TMK. He reminds me of the 'amazed' feeling I still get from early TMK.
I really miss Rond Vidar, who as a non-powered ally of the Legion showed that the Legionnaires had people they could count on.
I miss Mysa a lot too, as whenever I reread my Legion collection, I still get goose bumps during her real entrance into the Legion as an actual member, saying "In all of its moments, I've never seen the Legion more proud than it is now in its darkest".
But after reading Lad Boy's last post, it occurs to me that I really, really miss Superboy. The real one--the greatest hero of them all. Though I believe he should be on the team, I won't crusade for it...but I miss having him around or at least the potential to have him around.

I miss Tellus. I love the idea of a non-humanoid who needs special breathing apparatus in order to be in the Legion.

I miss the classic LSH cruiser, used from Giffen through DnA, the first LSH ship that really stood out - not a rocket, not a clear Trek homage, nor generic (i.e. all Janes spaceships).
I miss Mysa, Kent, Jacques, Danielle, Drura, Quislet, Blok, Laurel and Dawny (the Reboot gang I loved haven't been gone long enough for me to really miss them yet; I still reread the DnA issues more than I do the current book). I also miss a lot of the Levitz and TMK-era prtrayals of characters that have continued in various forms.
I miss Lydda, Shvaugn, Gigi, Zendak, RJ, Marte, Gym'll, the older and reformed Mekt, Graym and Garridan, Rond and Bronze Age Kara.
The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

I miss alot of those metioned above but the true stand outs for me are Blok and Tellus. I'd really like to see Condo again as well, provided they actually use his powers to their full potential.

I miss Gates - his introduction made me laugh my butt off, and XS... She's Barry Allen's granddaughter for crying out loud! They need to make the new team ASAP. I like either of them better than any version of Element Lad or Cosmic Boy you could name. I also would love Blok back to revive the classic Blok/Timber Wolf friendship that was so fun in the Levitz days...
I also miss villains that weren't trying to take over the galaxy... No one wants to steal a rare gem or a formula for eternal youth anymore.

I miss alot of the mentioned members from eyerones list to, Wildfire the most. The true Drake Burroghs not the composite one the tried. Such a tradgic hero, never able to truly interact only pretend at it. Plus his love interest with Dawnstar.

Actually I was looking at the ZH Legion today and thinking which ones would fit in this one.
Gates, Computo, and Gear came to mind. Don't know if I would make Gear and Computo the same being. But a black android was super cool I thought.
As for Gates...was he in any part inspired by Nightcrawler? Teleporter and very alien looking?
Also was thinking (besides Wildfire) Dawnstar is the only other character I may bring back.

I totally agree with Ultra Jorge about Gear - I think he sort of became the new Computo and was (slowly) developing into a neat character; the Giffen debacle at the end of the DnA run notwithstanding.
I miss Gear, and of course Quislet most. I also miss the White Witch (V.3) and Wildfire. Chemical King and Tellus are wide open, and I would also like to see them reintroduced with a new take on them.
