I was reading everyone talking about XS and I realized that, just as the Byrned Super-Family had huge ripple effects outside of his series, a rebooted Legion could have similar (though probably smaller) impacts.

The most glaring? The Flash Family.

Where did Barry live with Iris? What 30th Century is Iris from? What about Bart? If the rest of the 30th century changed, what happened to Bart?

And what other characters are effected by changes in the future?

Why worry?

DC's always had a good handle on continuity before.

Why should 2005/3005 be any different?

i'm not worried at all -- to be honest, i'm not a huge continuity stickler -- i prefer a shared comic universe big enough for mad ideas and silly nostalgia and dark vigilantes and sex

odd though - DC's position on continuity *seems* to be that the 30th century has to reflect their current 'present-day' lineup ... it always struck me as myopic -- history shifts dramatically depending on a whole host of reasons ... this won't get simpler in the future with their 'time viewers' and such

so i thought that DC 'giving' Waid & Kitson permission to remake the 30th century had the bizarre reverse-continuity implication of banging into some 'present-day' characters

since i'm not up on all the post-1994 Legion stuff, i didn't know what other characters are implicated

Well there's Inferno too, not that a whole lot of people seem to remember she's out and about in the present DCU.

Well, since she's not had so much as a speaking part since her mini (she's periodically turned up in crowd scenes, like WW175 and Young Justice 49-51), that's hardly surprising.

that's true -- and of course Inferno would be a bit of a wallflower, since blonde beautiful pyromaniacs with absolutley no identification and means of support are always so easy to hide

right?

Why DID they dump her in the 21st C anyway? It's not as if her vanishing wasn't predictable...

Wasn't the plan to put her on some team or another (Young Justice, maybe?)? And then the editorial balked at it when they figured out she was a killer?

so put her in the Suicide Squad and match her with Killer Frost for a soft-core lesbian scene

(which would have made Inferno *perfect* for the Titans, as I always thought that Perez gave us a lot of Kory & Donna in close-quarters)

When they move from the Hall of Justice to the Mall of Justice, she'll join the Super-Friends.
