It would have made sense considering that Proty I and II had telepathy as well as shape changing abilities.
Those wacky little guys should have sent Reep Daggle packing!

Join the LSH? And miss out on the Legion of Super-Pets benefits?
Those guys get health and dental, not to mention plenty of stock options. They have fantastic powers comperable to the Legion, but when some insanely powerful villain attacks, nobody's all that surprised or offended if they decide to sit this one out. The Legion of Super-Pets are envied by superhero teams throughout the galaxy! After all, why do you think their tryouts are so difficult?

I assume he used them to block Imra's telepathy. In fact, that solves that long-standing Legion mystery, afterall! Imra of course didn't *really* know it was Proty--he blocked her telepathy!

like any corporation is gonna give you some kind of bonus for NOT using an insurance option -- LOL
even in the future, corporations do not have your best interest in mind
(whether you're antarean & disputing sentience or not)
and i thought Proty didn't steal Cham's Legion spot because ALL non-humanoid applicants were considered super-pets (maybe the term 'pet' is translated in interlac to something non-offensive, like Lass and Girl codenames?)
of course the real reason is because Proty was clearly in love with Cham & Imra and had no desire to go from being super-pet to super-bi(%#
his role didn't change much when he jumped into Garth's body, did it?
