Hi, everybody. Sorry I haven't posted for so long, but I must say that I really enjoyed the latest issue of LSH; it's starting to feel like the Legion again.

Anyway, I've noted the reference to Krypto the super dog, and that Kara seems to have a warm personality. But when I last was up on Superman continuity (back in the bad 'ol John Byrne days), Kryptonians were socially insular and somewhat snobbish, just like 30th century Earth citizens are now depicted to be in current LSH continuity.

So, my question is: what happened? And briefly, how? In short, I guess that I'm wondering if Krypton has, indeed, become more like its old, silver-age self, and if so, how was the Byrne depiction explained away.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Superboy Prime revised continuity when he was pounding at reality in the two years before Infinite Crisis. That's why Kara exists again when it was clear in Byrne's Superman that there was only one survivor of Krypton.

At this point I think its safe to say that Krypton is closer to the silver age version. Superman's origin is probably closer to Waid's Superman:Birthright than Byrne's Man of Steel.

I expect that the History of the DCU and Secret Origins pages coming in 52 will make things more clear.

Thank you, sir! I was expecting a more complicated answer, and am glad there isn't one. smile

BIG NEWS from IC 7

<span class="spoiler_containter"><span class="spoiler_wording">Click Here For A Spoiler</span><span class="spoiler_text">

It seems that the the scenes at the end of IC6 were added to not taken out of continuity.

That means

Alex: "There are recorded rumors of Superman's activities before his appearance in Metropolis."

</span></span>

So how long before Mark Waid gets to use him?
