Just read 14 and spoilers
another poor issue. This issue is drawn bu a cast of thousands and inked/colored by nearly as many. It looks choppy to say the least. After what i thought was a weak ending to the first major story arc last issue and weak art..this was a real dissapointment. Of course I have been waiting to see Shrinking Violet for over a year and after a real impressive first appearance a few issues back we barely see her after all the hype of the cover in 14. We also get to see her in costume and again I really don't like this look. Im glad the previous costume is gone but i was really looking forward to the green and black look of Cockrum days. Don't like the hair much either. Since it's been a year I can really say that the team's new threads are half really good and half really blah! Violet falls into the blah! Looking at the post's for the new JLU episode I really can say that the classic Cockrum/Grell/levitz/Giffen era costumes are what we need to return to. This book, in my opinion, has lost momentum in the writing and now the art. Hopefully with the return of Dawnstar, Tyroc, Blok et all and the Supergirl storyline things will pick up again. BORING!!!!
Please some action is needed....

I feit the total opposite about this issue. I thought it was great! The interaction between the Legionnaire as they hang out at Colossal Boy's house, while waiting for their hq to be rebuilt. Another Legionnaire sibbling introduced (that's two for Gim Allon, assuming that's his real name, in two different incarnations. Remember he had a sister in the version before the last one). I love that the LSH has finally been given the status they deserve. I can't wait until next issue to see in what capacity the "85 Legion" will appear. You have to understand, it's been years since I looked forward to each and every issue of the Legion. I love Violet's attitude, picking up where she left off from the preboot years! This is the return of the legion I grew up with!!!
Long Live the Legion!!!

I'm glad they are keeping the purple for Vi. I always hated the fact that she wore green. Violets are violet not green! That annoyed me. A small thing, but it annoyed me.
If you really want to get me cross, ask me about the 'how come Earth 1 Queen Hippolyta is a blonde and is the only parent of a black haired daughter' paradox. Oh that really got me annoyed over the years.
Ah well, for every Legion fan, a completely different opinion!
//if I wanted the return of any era of costumes it would be the Silver Age ones..always my sentimental favourite./slashies!

I cancelled my subscription after #12. After a friend showed me the reader abuse by "Reflecto" in #14, I'm glad I did.
One harsh lesson I learned during the TMK run is that if you keep buying the bad stuff, hoping it will get better, you just keep on getting bad stuff. The Five Year Gap series droned on way too long, and it took a DECADE to get the Legion straightened out again after it ended (when DnA saved it from the brink of cancellation). Better to let someone know now this stuff is subpar than to watch the Legion run into the ground - and another reboot. The only way the message seems to get across is thru sales, or lack thereof.

I really enjoyed this issue, great stuff, I can't wait for next months now! Yum, delicious characters, great Sci-Fi setting, interesting socio-political dynamics, loads of fab mysteries to figure out and best of all sterling art and story telling!
Long Live this Legion!
Legion Worlds NINE - wait, there's even more ongoing amazing adventures? Yup, and you'll only find them in the Bits o' Legionnaire Business Forum.

Story-wise, it was okay. Wondered about a few things though, such as: - How did Imra's mom suddenly become so politically powerful? In the previous issues she's just another delegate, but in #14 it's like she's usurped someone and just took over - Are we going to get something like origin issues in the future? When you open a box like Atom Girl's race being housed inside a snow-globe, I'm hoping they'll get back to it as some other time/issue. Art-wise, while I like the ones that Barry drew, what disappoints me is the fact that in 14 issues of what's supposedly a new series, we get a slew of fill-ins. This isn't me questioning commitment, just wondering why the page count was raised only to be filled by back-up stories and "comic-executed" lettercols. In Stephen Wacker's interview at Newsarama, he mentions that Barry's artwork on upcoming issues looks like it was issue one. Couldn't help but mutter inwardly that it should, considering all the fill-ins. Having story arcs with different artists per arc (like Sandman or Superman/Batman) make sense, but when you have 2 or 3 art teams in 1 arc, that just makes a story disjointed. Seeing as how I've decided to trim down on comics post-Infinite Crisis, I now wonder if keeping LSH makes sense...

I imagine it was easy for her to persuade the other delegates to vote for the alliance quickly (off-panel) so as to reverse their public image as fools and cowards.
