so today Didio spilled a lot of beans. I am sure someone who took better notes than me will post a breakdown soon, but he let on that all three legions will be featured soon in the dc universe. (someone in the audience wanted legion lost back and he said "talk to me again in a few months") and that Booster Gold may be leading in to a Geoff Johns Project (read rumoured legion book) and booster will be in another book possibly still his own after that. Yesterday there was a lot of questioning the audience about legion, which legion you like best(all versions had fans), would you prefer a legion with Superboy in it (this makes me think they are working on getting the name back) and why don't people like the current shooter arc (The sales took a nosedive after issue 1)? There was a lot of very intelligent response to the last one which I agree with basically people feel his characters are not strong enough and that they could be easily interchanged. I personally feel like nothing at all has happened in 3 issues. Well nothing that moves the story along very far at any rate but it may be that he needs to wait for the Geoff Johns project which Didio would not confirm. Didio also confirmed however that Perez would be working on a Geoff Johns project coming up but could not confirm it is the legion project. He did confirm that Shooter has signed onto legion for the foreseeable future. The Geoff John's legion rumor was in lying the gutters here http://www.comicbookresources.com/columns/index.cgi?column=litg

I'm stoked that Didio is interested in making it work.

I could not disagree more with those downing Shooter2. I have been thuroughly entertaqined by every issue. I find each character distinct and in no way interchangable. Although there is one overriding plot, each issue has had something introduced, explored and resolved to a degree far greater than the average comic. In short, I have not been this excited about the Legion since the first year or so of the reboot.

I also think that Mr. Shooter is doing a fine job bringing the Legion back to life. Though not a fan of the Waid version, Mr. Shooter has already shown he can work with it, and I expect even better things once he transitions into his own vision. The artwork is cool, and the rotation of featured legion members (and Brainy and Cosmic Boy getting a rest) have made the title better. It may take a year for the Legion to get up to full speed, but I think it will be worth the wait this time.

I'm not 100% thrilled with Shooter thus far (only 80-90), but his three issues stand up as far superior to pretty much any Waid issue (possible exception being #3).
I am much more enthusuastic for the Johns Legion...
...but I'd add that it's great we have two (well, three) decent Legions to debate the merits of; all three are far superior to certain periods of time when we had only one (most of Conway, for instance).
The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

I've read Shooter's first two issues, and I was absolutely THRILLED by them! Based on those two issues, I'd definitely say he's steering them in the right direction!
Still "Lardy" to my friends!

I think the amount of retcons that have shaken up the Legion have come perilously close to destroying the franchise.
I've been reading various iterations of the Legion for about 30 years, and I LOVE these Shooter issues. The lackluster response just boggles me, since this is the best the book has been since the Baxter / Lightle era, IMO.

Yes it is very hard for a new reader like me to figure out what order everything is in and make sense of some changes - some examples: 1) Saturn Girl - at one time she was pregnant and with Lightning Lad - now she isn't 2) Star Boy - changed his race 3) Sensor Girl/Projectra 4) Phantom Girl - had a child but not around now as far as I know Plus reprints confuse it even more. While I really liked the Lightning Saga, I hope it doesn't void out Shooter's run.
