I am opening this thread here because some of you are not into L.E.G.I.O.N. but Barry Kitson has graciously juiced us with some quite shocking LSH tidbits on what was their original plan for the threeboot. Much more shocking than I'd expect, in fact. Thread is here . And once again, thanks to Kitson (and all super LSH artists) for bearing with such a hardcore group of fans and still being so nice! For better or for worse, I guess.

That's a pretty interesting read, actually. I kind of like the Schrodinger's Dreamy notion.

I'm not sure I totally understand, but I think I get it. Was he saying that there is a potentially infinite number of futures, with the 3boot being one of them, and they could travel back to the core present, but not be able to get back to their own future as the future is impossible to plot and you'd end up in another branch?
The only way that they would meet alternate Legionnaires was if multiple futureverse Legions decided to travel back to the same point in the core present... would that have been a bit too much of a coincidence? And if they did, they'd all effectively be stranded, or all end up in a new future. Great way to end up with a new (rebooted?) future with a Legion cast that you could engineer... something that may still happen with L3W? (if there are infinite futures, does it follow that THEIR pasts would be different too? What would be the origin point of their branch of time?)
Does that explain how the core Supergirl ended up in a different future with a different Legion than the future and Legion Superman travels to see? But if it's the case that you can never travel to the same future twice, how could Superman have done it?
Cool idea, and it severely reduces the use of time travel as a plot point because the results would just not be calculable to those doing the traveling. (unless you had Shikari or Dawnstar along who could track the way home... but it would have to be the Shikari or Dawnstar from their original futureverse...?)
my head hurts lol
... so Dream Girl is in a box, and may be dead, or may be alive, the only way to check is to open the box and find out... but as long as you keep the box closed, there's always the possibility that she IS alive.

...so are you all seeing something I am not, or are you just pulling our legs here?
The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

That means Dream Girl is dead in your dimension. Try another one.

...there is a potentially infinite number of futures, with the 3boot being one of them, and they could travel back to the core present, but not be able to get back to their own future...[/QB] More or less. Brainiac 5, Rond Vidar and the Time Institute Used to have a "Time Beacon" that guided travelers. Don't ask me how it does what it does or even better don't ask me what it does in the first place but I remember quite clearly that they had one. That was enough explanation for me. I read science fiction, I can fill in the rest easily enough.
